Carters was forced to sell out because of cheap foriegn labor, like yourself, just as almost every other textile co in the US.I know this because I worked in textile management twenty five years. Now all you can by is cheap low quality fabric made by people that make a few dollars a day.
And now a few foriegn crooks, ignorant, much like yourself, are raping the company.
But that's understandable,I determined that by your grammar/english lesson response, that had nothing to do with the conversation.
It's difficult to carry on an intellegent conversation with someone less versed in the subject.
They weren't lazy somebody was just plain greeedy and self-serving! You sound like one of the supervisor who did nothing but order people around and sat in the office all day drinking coffee and eating dounuts.
It is because we have lost our manufacturing base due to nothing but pure greed on the part of the manufacturers that we have such high unemployment.
If you don't have a job and you're not rich or not poor. Blame yourself. Don't blame Wall St. Don't blame the big banks. Herman Cain for President in 2012.
If you don't have a job. Need a jobs??? What is your favorite job? "Doctor or teacher, police officer, firefighter, EMT, nurse and more". Your dream job?. Mitt Romney for President in 2012.
You have to train for something and take care of yourself. That's not easy and I'm not being dismissive of people's suffering.
THEY will all tell you about the sorry people there. Especially after they shut down the sewinng part and moved the warehouse in there.
I think people think that businesses have infinite resources and that is simply not true. If I have to pay twice the cost due to lazy employees not doing the job correctly it eventually takes it's toll on my bank account. I own a small business in this county and I will tell you my number 1 complaint is the mentality of the work force here. I am tired of paying people to work and watching them sneak around to text on their cellphones or update their facebook.
People need to return to the thinking of “A good day’s pay for a hard day’s work.” Letting folks be lazy and cut corners just hurts us all in the long run.
Everyone knows the reason no one would say anything to them and make them stop is because they didn't want the NAACP on their butts.
#10 is right - companies have to meet
their 'quotas' for hiring minorities, no matter if they can't or WON"T do their job! When I was first hired at carters, all the new hires had a meeting with our supervisor. She told us that they have to hire according to the race living in a 25 mile radius of the area. She also said it's 70% black, 30% white. And I SWEAR I said this - so you mean to say they don't hire according who can do the job anymore? She made a weird face and changed the subject right quick.
#9, on your comment here, first you say if we don't report these people, it's our own fault? Then you turn right around and say that you have your own business and you are tired of paying them for doing nothing. What, do you mean YOU don't report them and/or get rid of them?
Sounds like YOU are 'letting folks be lazy'.
And people wonder why products in USA are made so bad. The heads of the companies ALLOW the minorities to be this way. And then wonder why people stop buying their products and their companies shut down. DUH!!!
That sounds like you don't get rid of them and still pay them.
The article says that an Executive was caught basically lying and cheating and you all are turning this into a lazy, black, people issue.
