The Mark Richt "Save My Job" tour rolled into Jacksonville Saturday for the world's largest party and, what do you know, his team came from behind to win.

Grantham saved his butt, and has for most of the season. Something ain't right with MR. There's always one phase of the team that sucks. If the defense & special teams are playing well, the defense sucks. If the offense & defense are playing well, the special teams sucks. And, so it goes. Sometimes you have to wonder, if the guy has a pulse.
Having said that, it was good to get a win over the Gators. But, this just-in... 3 runningbacks suspended for failing a drug test. Countem' - THREE!
This is very similar to "Facing the Giants". The whole town was against the coach until he started to win. Richt has won more games in ten seasons than Dooley. Richt is the second winningest coach just behind Dooley. We are so quick to forget what someone has done because we want instant gratification. None of you could do better except in your dreams. Why don't you get a life and lay off other people.
The hotseat has forced MR to step it up. He kept his old college buddy, Willie Martinez, and defensive coordinator on for-far-too-long. He only dismissed him, after the fanbase went nuts for about 2-to-3 years, of witnessing us crap in our pants. MR allowed the program to become stale, and he got complacent. Hence, having a firestorm of criticism of the way that he was handling the program.
He was reactive to every negative situation, instead of having the vision to be proactive in correcting the problems, before they became huge issues.
Being a lifetime Dawg Fan, and a UGA alumnus, I hope that he has got this thing turned around... We'll know more after we play Auburn at home on Sat. for a chance to represent the SECE in the SEC championship game. If he does a lousy job of coaching in this game, then the seat will only get hotter. If the team plays their hearts out, and loses on a couple of bad breaks, then that is forgivable...
But, if they come out uninspired, and look poorly prepared like they have in some of the games over the last few years, then it's time for a change. I think Grantham replaces MR as head coach, if MR continues his boring ways on the sidelines. He's a great guy, and I hope that he resurrects the program, but he's not getting paid 2.8 Mil to allow it to become mediocre.

The Great Depression was bad. The Greater Depression will be far worse.
