A man wanted for a probation violation fled from police and caused the lockdown of Lamar schools for a time Tuesday, superintendent Dr. Bill Truby has confirmed.

It says he was wanted for probation violation. It didn't say he escaped from jail- so it has nothing to do with the proximaty of the schools to the jail. Anytime I can remember the schools being on lockdown, it has had nothing to do with the jail- but the idoits that aren't in there yet!
Really? Why I had no idea that Sheriff Waller was the person who put the sheriff's office/jail in proximity of the schools. You mean to tell me that was all his idea? Why, shame on him!
And while we're at it, and blaming him for everything, why on Earth did the sheriff decide to put Riverside Crossing shopping mall clear down in Macon?
Ah but word is Wally is moving to the abandoned jail. I hear he is retiring from law enforcment to go into the ministry and plans to open that facility as some sort of church or halfway house. God bless him!
Seeing that I just drove thru the Lamar County part of I-75 twice, there are no deputies on 75....sorry to burst your whining bubble. You act like there are deputies posted there 24/7. Grow up please.
You are a complete IDIOT!! Over and over again you have proven that the box of rocks you have in your head are indeed worthless. You never make any sense, I just wish you would sign your name so when you walk around town tagging around with the people you think are your friends, it will give everyone a good laugh for the day. Everytime I see you I just laugh and smile and say "There goes a true IDIOT!"
why didn't YOU post YOUR name Annon #3.2?scared little boy!tell everybody who you are.you are quick to call someone an idiot, but to much of a coward to post your name.but what do you expect from one of waller's good ol boys?
oh,and by the way,the original poster is right.just turn on a scanner and listen to all the crime around the county and ol'wally is worried about generating revenue and trying to make his self look good in the pappers.
You want to talk about Waller trying to get his name in the paper...why dont you look at the past sheriff. He was ALWAYS trying to get his name in the paper. All I can say about you and your good ole buddy is that yall are full blown dummys.
Who are you going to vote for since Waller is not in the race? Who are you going to fixate on then?
There is always going to be crime and there is no way that any law enforcement department can predict when or where a crime will happen. They do not have crystal balls. Nor do they have the man power to patrol every road in the county. I know you expect a lot out of them but come on....get a life.
As a tax payer, I don't care where the revenue is pulled in from, be it 75 or not..It saves the tax paying citizens from having to buy things for the SO. I know you cant wrap your little brain around that, but give it a try anyway. I know your love bug didnt worry about saving money either.
I would love to know where you get all of your information. Is it facts or is it just opinion? If it is fact, cite your source. Also, if you hate Waller so much, who would your prefer to be sheriff and why? Please tell me who would live up to your grandiose expectations (other than yourself)....seriously.
This particular abscondee's name has been in the paper under Sheriff's Report at least once a year for the past 20 years or so. They keep letting him go he'll keep doing what he does. I guess burglary is a minor crime that doesn't deserve jail time.

Dayum....Looks like someone done popped him in the eye! (He's always been a little thief-crackhead)
And to #3.2...you just got on to the wrong idiot....lol
Hmmm, another night and Homer the escapee is "still at large".
But I did get my Valentine radar detector lit up by the LSCO above Milner today. Revenue be important don't ya know. More important than capturing fugitives it would seem.
But Wally brought in a HELICOPTER in the search for the missing police attack dogs. I suppose a missing "officer" is much more important than citizen safety, so no helicopter this time.
The Lamar County Jail here is a joke. It needs to be run as a bootcamp jail, so once they get out , they will never want to return. This jail reminds me of the Andy Griffin shows with Barney Phiff in charge of the jail. Nothing will happen until someone ends of getting raped, beat almost to death or killed and the county gets sued. An inmate is a criminal no matter what they are in there for. They "all" should be treated as such.
You sir need to get a life. How many hours a day do you ride around and look for sheriff cars on the HWY? Are you that sad and miserable? I personally think you are a sad, jealous little man. Im sorry the SO wont allow you on their force. Did they hurt your little feelings...lol. Have you realized that Waller is not running for Sheriff again?
I just want you small minded people who are mean and useless to know this.. I am a Moxon. I am proud to be a Moxon. I have a motger who is almost 80 years old and raised 4 good kids by herself. Not all of us are just alike. I have worked my whole life extra hard to rise about the place I came from. My mother hasn't been the perfect parent but she's my mother God tells us to honor her. And we do. We are good hearted God fearing Moxons. Brian was on probation for a wreck that happened 8 years ago. He should not have run. He did not escape from the jail. He has not been in the paper every year for 20 years. He was in jail for the last 7 years. It hurt my family to see the things that so easily come out of your sad thoughts. But remember this if that's at all possible for tou small minded gossip. We live and work and try to ignore your painful remarks. It hurts, but then who am I to ask not to judge my family. They are my family. The Moxoms. And proud of it.
Sorry Lorna, but there is little kindness in this town. Be glad you moved away. Many good people have been slandered on this blog and it's a shame. It's like being on Jerry Springer against your will. Hold your head up, forgive their hate and ignorance, and know what goes around comes around.
Shouldn't they look for his clothes? The ones he was wearing wen he ran away? Could that possible b a clue? But he could've put them anywhere. But I hope you find him. For the kids sakes.
Hey dummy. Where do you see anything about him being an escapee? It said he fled from police, not escaped the jail. People flee from the police all the time, especially those that already on probation. And being a Moxon doesn't help much.
"A man wanted for a probation violation fled from police and caused the lockdown of Lamar schools for a time Tuesday"
Dummy? I suppose I am since we have the opinion of an expert saying so. Somewhere someone once said it takes one to know one...
Hmmm...
He fled the custody of the police. Obviously at the jail since the school was locked down upon his departure.
escape:
(intransitive) To avoid capture; to get away with something, avoid punishment.
Now, since you are obviously far smarter than I am, please explain why the school was locked down if he wasn't at the jail when his departure took place?
The point still remains that LCSO has yet to recapture this wayward soul. No effort was spared to locate dogs, but criminals seem to have a lower priority with Wally.
There's 10 roads surrounding the schools. Maybe, just maybe, he was pulled over and proceeded to run?
I like how you included the intransitive definition of "escape" (even though the word "escape" never appears here in the article) Now let me include the definition of "flee" which is what is reported:
Run away from a place or situation of danger
Run away from (someone or something)
Let us not forget that under the Buice administration there was an ACTUAL escape that wasn't reported to local media for 13+ hours, due to it being so close to election time. Ah, yes, sucks bringing up real history doesn't it?
Forgive my digression, the main point being you jump to conclusions, without the slight knowledge of what could have or might have actually happened. You seem to be the only "dummy" that still believes a man escaped. Now, continue on about your ways. I'm sure there will be some article soon where you'll have your chance again to complain about "Wally".
"No effort was spared to locate dogs, but criminals seem to have a lower priority with Wally." Again how many times do you have to be told, LCSO did not bring in any search teams for the dog, it was the owning Office which did, GET YOUR FACTS RIGHT! Your LIES need to stop!
I wish Waller was running again just so that you might finally blow that leaky gasket of yours. Cant wait until the Buice haters get on here and remind the people of Lamar County all that went wrong during his pitiful years in office. I will let you get back to your sand box now. Hope the other kids dont pick on you too bad.
ok lets do the math he was not locked up for 7yrs it was only 5yrs ago when that messed up crap happened , but whatever he still got the better end of it all , some people change ,some people will never .
Wow, I'm so glad I don't live down there anymore. I can't believe the way everyone on this post speaks about each other and the town. I grew up in Barnesville, and I do personally know Sherriff Waller and I know he is a good man and does his best by the county. Buice doesn't deserve any love whatsoever, and yes I also know him pretty well and he gave me the creeps since I was a little girl. I also know this man in question, Brian Moxon and his siblings, and while it's been a good 16 years since I hung out with them I still talk to other people from the same group and a lot of them haven't changed a whole lot, still doing drugs and getting into whatever trouble they can find. Another reason to be glad I moved away, I suppose. Anyway, I do know that Brian was basically a good guy, and like many others just didn't make good choices. I can't really see him being a danger to others, but again, it's been 16 years.
as to him looking like Randy Newton, I happen to be aware that he isn't such a good guy and I know of at least once hitting a female and child. I've been away all this time and still managed to hear about that, just saying....
Gonna go out on a little branch here and say that you're doing your share of talking about people in Barnesville and this town, too.
If you're not part of the solution, then you're part of the problem.
lmao, actually I joined the military, and eventually ended up living with a great husband and children clear across the country. Just tried to make a point I used to hang with said group of people, but I'm a fully functioning contributing member of society and the others not so much.
So, since the truth was outlined in the paper this week, I noticed the Buice Blower stopped posting about the "dangerous jail escapee". I'll say it again, what a dummy.

Wally needs to move to the abandoned jail facility east of town AT ONCE.
Anyone wondering why needs to reread the part about "still at large".
Cue the "Wally can do no wrong" fan club in 3...2...
And while we're at it, and blaming him for everything, why on Earth did the sheriff decide to put Riverside Crossing shopping mall clear down in Macon?
Maybe some resources presently devoted to I-75 DEA press release duty could be allocated to finding Homer the escapee...?
Nah, dem press releases are important to reelection efforts!

Brought back again for what reason?
Just like you did...oh, wait. (runs off to look up the Anonymous name in the phone book)
Hmmm, is this a case of do as I say, not as I do?
Since you don't seem to want to ID yourself any more than I do, we'll just consider your comments the mindless prattle which they are.
Thanks for playing.
But speed enforcement and I-75 patrols continue.
Marvelous priorities.
an old school buddy
Yet another 4.0 performance by the Lamar County Sheriff.
Please give this clown another term in office. The entertainment value is just too much to give up.
...fence?
Another night of freedom for our boy.
Waller for 4 more. Peerless law enforcement and bountiful press releases.
Anyway, learn to read and comprehend please.
