Trojans dethrone Royals 35-14

The Lamar County Trojans ripped the Bleckley County Royals 35-14 in the first round of the Class AA football playoffs Friday night at Trojan Field. Lamar will host Blessed Trinity in the second round Nov. 18 at Trojan Field. Kickoff is at 7:30 p.m. The Titans (7-4) defeated Heard County 44-19 Friday night.

Realtime scoring from the Bleckley game was provided by Walter Geiger.

:37 1st: Lamar 7-0. Maurice Bloodser 32- yd. TD pass to Jarvis Merritt. Tyler Scandrett PAT.

1:29 2nd: Lamar 14-0. Lance Austin 43-yd. TD run. Scandrett PAT.

:14 2nd: Lamar 14-7. Bleckley 19-yd. TD on trick play. PAT good.

I went to the web page you referenced and you are correct, Trojans are # 3, but this page has a small problem. When you click on "Lamar County Comprehensive Trojans" it takes you to a page called http://www.lamartrojans.com/football. The Coach listed is CALVIN SCANDRETT.

Maybe the webmaster for this page has been living in a cave for a couple of years, lol lol lol

GREAT VICTORY TROJANS!!! What happened to the color red in the Trojans uniform. I thought school colors were red, white and blue. This would be a great week for new breakout jerseys with a little red in them. THE BLOOD!!! Keep It Alive!

The official school colors are navy and white. Red is used only as trim although some of the coaches at Lamar choose to use more red in their uniforms than others. Hope this clears this up. GO BIG BLUE!!!

Those ratings have Putnam ahead of Jeffco too and we all saw the butt whoopin' Jeffco gave Putnam. . Also Morgan in 15th and Dublin in 16th? Not very accurate at all.

Yes, a community wide pep rally will take place Thursday evening from 6-8 p.m. The football team, cheerleaders and marching band will be there. Other activities are still being planned. Coach Strickland will be doing a preview of Friday's game live on WTGA radio (Fun 101.1 FM) from the pep rally. Everyone come out and support these young men on their road to the Dome.
