Tornado watch in Lamar lifted

The tornado watch for Lamar County was lifted Wednesday evening. The weather forecast is for 75 percent chance of thunderstorms.

Schools were on lockdown for about 30 minutes at the end of school day and students took shelter in the halls due to the weather. They have now been allowed to go home. Please post here or notify us with any news tips.

It wasn't quite lockdown. We were in inclimate weather mode - hunkered down in the hallways. Dismissal was delayed for a little over half an hour until the warning was lifted and it was safe to let buses run. Praise the Lord for His protection!

Yes, he did and if you notice the path of destruction was carefully chosen. Only two people were killed out of the many that lost their homes. It could have been worse. God knows what he is doing and yes he has a reason for everything.

Carefully chosen to kill two people? Seems like God could have guided that tornado down a path that didn't happen to have people on it. Or maybe He could have just not had a tornado at all. He can do that, you know.

...and did you know we kill 4000 unborn children PER DAY in this country in the name of "choice"?

...and allow sexual deviants their "rights" in flagrant disregard to Biblical instruction?

...and systematically go about removing any and all references to God in the public arena, including schools?

Tell me again why God should spare anyone in light of just the selection of offenses listed above?

Perhaps you should instead marvel that only two people were killed. Natural disaster occurrences having increased 400 per cent in the United States since 1960. Of course that is caused by "Global Warming". (Hint: the Bible predicts it will one day get so hot people will "gnaw their tongues in pain).

You'd think God would kill the sinners and not the innocent. Many of those people you mention haven't been killed by tornadoes. God's does a sloppy job of killing his own people, is what I'm saying. You'd think He could do a better job, since He's evidently in the practice of it.
