Anybody want to venture a guess, as to what region Lamar Co. will be in...? And, what teams will be placed in the region with them? Here's one guesstimate.
Lamar Co.
Monticello
Crawford Co.
Taylor Co.
Macon Co.
N.E. Macon
Manchester
Putnam Co.
Some projections say Bleckley County may end up in our region as well.
A couple of other possible scenarios could have Manchester staying in its current region due to geographic reason. And Northeast Macon may choose to play up to stay with the other Bibb County schools.
But you're projection looks about right considering those things don't happen.
The interesting thing will be to see what they do with Region 6 (metro Atlanta) as there are only 7 AA schools in the area and one of them, Marist, is sure to play up as they always have.
Would like to see a COMMENT on the voting wall by every STUDENT, parent, alumni and resident of Lamar. They are calling Lamar losers! VOTE, VOTE AND VOTE UNTIL WE HAVE A UNBEATABLE LEAD! And the school that is on top right now is in A division, could understand if they were AAAAA! Come on Lamar, The players deserve this!!!

If this is the region. we will dominate it. Callaway is clearly the next best team to us....a distant next best tho. We will mercy rule everyone of these teams in 2nd half cause we are LAMAR! With Buford gone there will be a new sheriff in town. The next 2 years are suppose to be ours for sure!
Why don't Lamar play up to AAA? All of our traditional rivals are leaving us except Manchester. We will have hardly any big money gates anymore. We need to continue to play Pike and start playing Jackson and Mary Persons again.
The classifications are based on the number of students. While AAA isn't a dominating classification, it would still be more difficult for Lamar to play these bigger schools. We can always play teams from different classifications for scrimmages and non-regions, like we did with Upson-Lee this year.
