A former principal in the Monroe County school system has been jailed for mishandling funds.

This is terrible. Me and Joe were real close back in the day, I find this very hard to believe.

Remember people of Monroe County, this is the direction that Superintendent Scott Coward wanted to go in when he hired Joe. All is not what it seems with people most of the time. If they investigated the rest of the folks of Monroe County who sit on the BOE and some of those so called principals, they would probably find more than that. Usually folks like him just get a slap on the wrist and pay a fine. Joe must have made some folks mad.

I also find this hard to believe. Something doesn't seem quite right about this. Wonder if he was set up?

If my old friend needs a person to stand by him he can count on me. 99% of all these situations come about because someone starts a rumor.

Wow sounds pretty straight forward to me. They did an audit, found that he was committing fraud and arresed him. Yeah sounds like he didn't do anything. BIG BIG rumor. People are not always who they seem to be, sounds like pretty good proff that he stole.

Yeah, I was close with Joe once, too. It doesn't mean he didn't do it. Unfortunately, a financial audit is NOT a rumor and whilst there may be others breaking the law, theft is still theft. You should never take more than what is given, lie about it nor take what is not yours.

If the problem was with his expense reports, why isn't the individual(s) who signed off on the reports when he originally submitted them being called to task as well? You don't just turn those things in and get a check instantly. Someone else has to (or is at least supposed to) review and approve them before any reimbursement is given. Looks to me like there ought to be at least one more set of glamor shots coming from the Monroe County S.O.

Well 2 investigators came into my shop a week or so ago asking about this man. But appearently he tried to use my place of biz in his cover up. I'm for 1 glad to have a face with the name, now I know who I am going to sue for miss representing my company. God only knows what else he may have been spreading around about anybody else's biz. Take the crook to task. Steals, lies about it, then uses reputable people and the name they worked to build to hide behind or coverup his own illegal activity. Thank you MCSO.

Sheila-Sheila clam down before you have a stroke. BTW, that was a weak childish stab at me & I hope that you will “try” and do better next time. Also, I’m not claiming to be the “John the Baptist”, I am John and I am a Baptist.

Please don’t go religious on me and tell me I need to find Jesus and all that. I have… we talk… everything is good.
