Barnesville native Jimmy Hammett died Thursday. Hammett pastored churches in Pike County and was a historian who chronicled the life of Ches McCartney, also known as the Goatman.

I talked to Jimmy and ordered the 2 goatman videos back when he was on the Ludlow Porch show. He knew everything about Chess and knew him personally. A great loss and God be with his family.
