From Killer Kilpatrick...
Those of you who do not know about Gary North ought to become acquainted with him:
In June of 1976, I was Ron Paul’s speechwriter. Shortly after I joined his staff as his newsletter writer and economic analyst, I recommended that he do what I had been doing for a year: buy a Code-A-Phone telephone answering machine and make a weekly 3-minute recording for people in his districts to call. He could send the tape to his office in the district, where the machine would be set up at a local phone number. Residents could call it for free. He thought this was a good idea. So began his weekly speeches.

Contrast this with Ron Paul. A man who gets more support from veterans and serving military than all of the other candidates combined. The man who gets the most enthusiastic support from younger Americans, who are after all the future of the nation. Then there is the fact that Ron Paul does as well or better than both Obama and Romney among independent voters, the people who decide elections. Then there is the fact that Ron Paul has a unique foreign policy position which will attract a lot of anti-war democrats to ditch Obama.
For all of the people that say that they don't like his foreign policy, tell me this: How can a country in economic decline, which is engaged in quantitative easing, (debasement of the dollar), to survive, afford to keep spending trillions of dollars to police the world? Like the great empires of history like the Romans and the British empire, the US 'empire' will collapse from within due to financial and economic collapse, unless we act soon. Britain is the best modern example; prior to WWII, Britain had the largest empire in the world, (1/4 of all land and people were under it). But Britain was overstretched and suffered a financial crisis in the 30s which led to bankruptcy thanks to WWII. The empire collapsed and the socialists took power and created the NHS (universal healthcare). Britain is now a socialist state, despite a brief reversal of fortune in the 80s thanks to Margaret Thatcher.
America does not want to become another social democracy like a European nation, our destiny is much special that the mediocrity of socialism and decline. The US needs to return to its constitutional roots, and this means constitutional foreign policy and constitutional money. The Federal Reserve needs to be abolished, the money backed by gold and silver again, the budget balanced, government departments abolished, corporate loopholes and special favors ended and a more careful foreign policy which doesn't involve the US constantly at war with someone. People say Ron Paul would weaken the military, but this is the opposite. Ron Paul would not cut the defense budget, just the militarism. By bringing troops home and closing bases, more money in the budget could be allocated to taking care of returning veterans, military research and building of high-tech and deadly weapons systems that will make the US more technologically advanced than China. Rather than dying by a 1000 cuts because we are overstretched and policing the world, we should draw back and concentrate on creating a technologically superior military which China would not dare to trifle with. China has the advantage of numbers and so we need the advantage of technological superiority. Lets spend the money here, rather than on pointless foreign adventures.
Easy to like, sometimes speks the truth but is basically nutty.
Less government, less war, less taxes, no more federal rsserve, no more income tax.
What is ya'lls problem with this?
Explain to me how this is not a winner..I'm all ears.
