Body found on Hwy. 36W; Lenhart arrested

A body was found early Friday alongside the railroad tracks off Hwy. 36 West. The man was the apparent victim of a hit and run and a lookout for a suspect vehicle has been issued. UPDATE: An arrest has been made in this case.

This may be a hit & run, and an arrest has been made.
Among the list of cowardly acts: hitting another human being & then driving away , leaving him to die.
How can you face yourself after doing such a thing?

Hey this is unfortunate. Its sad every way you look at it. Thomas Lenhart isn't a criminal type of a guy. He has his life in order and is a single father of his children. I'm sure when the facts come out that something was definately unseen. I'm hoping that if he did just drive away that he did not know he had hit a person. I know Thomas, i couldn't just see him leaving a man there to die. My prayers go out for everyone. For the deseased, and for the family's of all the parties involved

I agree with you. I knew Thomas in school and I don't think he would do this knowing he had hit someone.

i agree i know Thomas im sure he didnt just leave from what ive heard he got out of his and looked but thought he had hit a deer didnt know he hit a person until the next day but thats just what i heard.I feel for both families.

He hit somebody and drove away. Based on the damage to the vehicle he had to have known he hit something. Even if he thought he hit a deer I cannot see just driving away without confirming the state of his vehicle and what he hit. Some people panic in those situations and do the wrong thing. This is probably what he did. It does not excuse it. Fleeing the scene is wrong no matter who you are.

Maybe he thought he had hit a deer. That is a common place for deer torun out in front of a car/truck. So very sorry for both families. Will pray for them both.

I understand that when he hit Thomas he got out of the car with a flashlight and looked at him. This is supposedly all on video from a business near by. He should have called for help and he would not have been charged. Thomas supposedly walked into the car.

Really Walter? You gotta put in there that you gathered from his fb that he was depressed? Well here's hoping Obama doesn't win again or I might just be jumping in front of your car.
