A 28-year-old Lamar County man charged in the hit and run death of Thomas Norman Anderson has been granted bond in a hearing that, for unexplained reasons, was held five days before he was to appear in Lamar superior court.

I just had to compose myself and find a way to word this without so much anger. I want to start off by saying how posting this story on my husband, Thomas Anderson, Jr's, birthday was not appreciated at all. You don't know the amount of hurt that this has caused me, our children and our family and friends. I think posting this on his birthday was very disrespectful to - not only my husband, but our family as well.

Mrs. Anderson, I'm so sorry for your loss.
But I have looked at this story on here, and cannot figure out where it says that yesterday was Mr. Anderson's birthday. I don't think that Barnesville.com had any way of knowing that it was your husband's birthday, and I don't think any harm was meant.
The media is supposed to report the news and this unfortunate timing of Lenhart's release is news, and puzzling news at that.
Having lost a brother abruptly, I do know that many times grief manifests as anger since our grief is so painful to face that we show it in anger instead. I wish you and your family peace, as you work your way through the tragic loss of Mr. Anderson.

I also am deeply sorry for the lost of Mr Anderson, Just as you are Cats--I just wish Walter would publish facts and not hear say It sure would be easier on everyone---

I appreciate your kind words. Well they do print obituaries as well. But the problem I have is...they can post a picture of my husband getting loaded into a hearse before I was notified...but they can't release him getting released till 12 days after? There is something seriously corrupt here. I am just looking for why they had to post "unexplained reasons". Sorry, there was a reason and to allow him a early bond hearing outside open court 5 days before he was supposed to appear in Lamar Superior Court? Really? There is something fishy in all of this. I have a lot of frustration. But Lenhart doesn't have to explain to his child why....I do! Lenhart gets to still hug his child and talk to him, my children can't hug their Daddy. We spent his birthday at the cemetery...how fair is that?

I could see if he thought he hit a deer, but to get out and see that it was a person? He should have been responsible and dialed 911.

Really? Are we picking a choosing how we administer justice here? May not be, but something sure seems a little fishy here.

Course, I am not holding my breath on getting an explanation. So far I have not gotten anything substantial from any of our city or county leadership on any issues we are facing right now.

He needs to be in prison with Bubba for the rest of his miserable life.
