“Out of control” – that’s how some describe today’s youth in America. Of course, obviously, this phrase doesn’t apply to all of America’s young people as many are well-behaved, well-disciplined, and well-adjusted. Regrettably, however, a significant portion of America’s youth are, in fact, out of control and our nation is suffering as a result.

I remember many bloody switching sessions with my grandmother and I deserved every one I got. It made me the person I am today.
One this I learned from being a parent is every child is different. One child you might spank and they look at you like "oh yeah?" while another one, if you just look at them harshly, they fall apart.
All that said, I think as a parent, if you love your children, you have to be willing to do whatever it takes to help them grow up to be successful, moral and good citizens. As someone I respect likes to say, we are not raising good children, but training our children to be adults. The Bible tells us to train up a child in the way they should go. It gives us the assurance that if we do this, when they are old, they will not depart from that way.
We have them for only a few years compared to their entire life spans. We owe it to them to invest in them the vision of what we want the future to look like.
We gave the placement of little children over to a government that is bankrupt, several times over. They are taking everything else along with it.
Come on back, Jesus. We really need your help.
That is so true, Fed Up. When I think back about my childhood home, I remember it being HUGE. It burned when I was in grammar school. Our new shell home was built in the same spot. While planting shrubs a few years ago, I found the foundation of the old house. It was very small compared to my memory.
