I truly cannot BELIEVE the lack of respect people have for court. It is a spooky sign of the times. As if, three hots and a cot trumps working for a living.
This is an outrage and Judge Wilson SHOULD have given him the maximum sentence to serve. What's the logic behind sentencing someone to 15 years, but only having them serve half of the sentence? 15 years should be 15 years behind bars and not a day less.
I cannot imagine what it must be like to be so enslaved to drink or drugs that one cannot even dry up enough to come to court.
This man has probably now hit his rock bottom. Now he has no choice except to dry out.
I hope he will finally turn himself around, feel the proper remorse for his actions, and perhaps make something positive out of a tragic situation.
