The Lamar County sheriff's office made more arrests for drugs on Tuesday, March 24, busting four males from two vehicles.

King was charged with possession of methamphetamines, possession of meth with intent to distribute, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony. He was also charged with a probation violation.

The majority of people are not well versed in the government leadership roles. They just know that they want their life easier. They are looking for Utopia.
I believe there is a group of people operating in government that have an objective of seizing the power. I think Obama is being used as a ladder step for this group because he wants power but is really ignorant of government. This goup will have to focus the attention of the American People to different issues while the puzzle is put together. Then we will see who the takeover artist is. I don't believe it is Obama and I don't even believe he is part of scheme. He is just going to be the first black president in the history book.
Today we are facing problems that some government leaders have convinced you all that it was the fault of someone else and now they must deal with it. They are using taxpayer funds to seize govermental control of an economy and a nation. They have you focused on one thing while they achieve their goal from another hidden direction.

He is a convicted thief/burglar who was paroled 5/1/2008. It is scary to think this miscreant had access to firearms AND illegal drugs. Send the ol' boy back to the joint where he can get 3 hots and a cot. As for the other three, try 'em, and if found guilty, send them down to keep Mr. Little company.

I ask only that you try to look past your own inquisitiveness next time before suggesting a writer is ineffective. Not all details of an arrest are released immediately.
The 5 W's were addressed though, if I may be so blunt.
Who - the arrested parties names were clearly stated
What - that actual arrest
When - the date is in the first paragraph
Where - the home address of each suspect was clearly states as was the location of the safety road check
Why - obvious illegal activity

Why then was the photo and name published in the first place? Almost everyone knows that juveniles names and photos are NOT to be made public when involved in a juvenile OR criminal matter.
The fact that it was published at all is 100% indication of VERY shoddy work. Someone screwed up badly. Let's hope the paper isn't sued because even if it's removed from your website, it's NOT gone from a number of various Internet archives.
You are right, I did state the fourth individual was a juvenile. I originally printed his name and showed his picture because I was advised he was being charged as an adult due to the nature of the crime in question. Therefore, his image and name were okay to be printed. However, when the charges were reduced and then removed, I also removed his name and image.
Thank you for calling out my shoddy work. I am assuming you could have done much better at copy/pasting a sheriff report. I clearly can do it to your standards.

Might I add that the beauty of an online "paper" is that the term "update" indicates that the article has been updated based on current news. I don't need to justify making modifications to a post.
Also, if you notice all direct responses to a comment when given by the posting author of the article are marked with a bold red border. That is part of the coding of the website used to indicate that it is a direct response by the author.

Obama commuted the sentence of the two US border agents, and the last I heard they were to be pardoned. They are home with their families now.
Obama is sending people and resources to help secure our southern border.
Obama said no more deals with Mexico on rapists, drug smugglers, or other illegals caught in serious crimes.
What is the Republican's big problem with Obama, blacks, and drugs? I didn't see any of you complaining about the slug that just left office or the Bush administration's Mexican-blood Republican Attorney General that let his ethnic brother rapists, drug smugglers, and murders free.
By the way Bush reduced their sentence before he left office not Obammy.
The stock market started crashing when Bush was in office because of the recession that started when Bush was in office. This is a result of 30 years of bad management starting with Reagan and the failure to uphold the Sherman act and ending with allowing insutance companies to behave like banks without regulation.
The stock market is going up now, not down, thanks to Obama although I doubt it will continue to stay up until we undo the bad moves we made for the past 30 years.
The incident happened during two separate traffic stops. Two men in one car and two in the other. I think then that were probably two different arresting officers.
Now, here is my understanding and I ask that you not completely take my word on this as I HAVE NOT done explicit research on the subject.
The arresting officer brings in the suspect and fills out the necessary paperwork. He then turns the suspect over to booking and the paperwork to the magistrate office. The arresting office is then relieved of the situation.
The determination was made as we print ONLY what is released directly to us from the proper authorities. As a journalist I do not expect to have to contact the sheriff's office to confirm a direct press release they emailed to our office just moments before.
Thanks for your response. I do understand where you are coming from and do not feel that you or your office is accountable for the misfortunate incident that has happened to this young man. I do feel however, that the arresting officer should have used his discretion that is given to him by the court of law to take a better look at the facts in this case before jumping the gun. Although I totally support our sheriff department and are greatful for them going out everyday to protect the citizens, i do feel that it is ones like this particular deputy that make the sheriff department look bad. Sometimes they are to quick to throw their badge around rather than to take and listen to the facts that are before them.
