The Lamar Republican Debate Committee has announced that all three candidates for the Third District US Congressional office now held by Representative Lynn Westmoreland have committed to participate in a debate to be held in Barnesville on July 3, 2012. The three candidates are US Representative Lynn Westmoreland, Mr. Kent Kingsley, and Mr. Chip Flanegan.
This is an important event, and committee members are pleased that Barnesville has been chosen to host it. The debate will be held within the Lamar County School's Fine Arts Center, a state of the art facility located at 126 Burnette Road in Barnesville. The debate will begin at 7:00 pm on Tuesday, July 3rd. Doors will open to the public at 6:00 pm.
