Trying to use as small of words as possible, since you obviously can't understand, but it was never a legal shelter. It was never licensed as a shelter. It might as well have been a shed on the side of the road. With your logic, if I hold prayer meetings and bible studies in my house I should get to call it a church and claim tax exempt status.
By the way, nice try on the whole "end of discussion thing". It almost worked...no, really, it was really impressive...eh, who am I kidding. All that comment did is made me want to reply even more. LOL!
It wasn't legal, which means it wasn't a shelter, and it is closed, which means it isn't a shelter. Read "The unlicensed home was being shutdown by the state Tuesday for safety reasons..."
"the proprietor of the home had been charged earlier this year with gambling after she apparently ran lotteries but allegedly never picked or paid a winner" damn, running lotteries in a womens shelter? oh let me guess.they were paying for it with their EBT cards.just when you think lamar county cant get any stranger.

Things aren't sounding so excellent at the shelter. And how has this been operating unlicensed?
Will be looking for more on this story.
