Thank you Susie and all our many friends at Antioch Church, where I grew up. This is such a witness to us all and is such a strong outpouring of support for Hannah, Betty and Wesley. God's blessings to you all.
To Hannah, you are truly a beautiful young lady and I pray that God will bless you with that van. I used to work at the middle school in pike county and I worked with another beautiful girl with cerebral palsy and she stole my heart. I know God is looking down right now at the van you'll be receiving real soon. I feel it in my heart that you'll be blessed in every way possible. To Hannah's grand parents, THANK YOU for all you do to make Hannah's life better, you are awesome!!!!!
My wife, Leisa, taught Susie Martin's daughter, Katie, when she was at the elementary school. When we received the news that Katie had entered eternity, it was as though we'd lost one of our own children. As Leisa's husband, I was able to meet and love the children who she taught. Katie was the sweetest, most loving little girl. I am really happy to learn that Susie is able to work through her own personal grief and sadness by lending a helping hand to others who suffered from the same disability as Katie.
Susie, if you're reading this, please know that Leisa and I both think of you and Katie very often, as we do Brittney and Linda Williams. Thank you for sharing your children with us, and for allowing us the privilege and honor of getting to know your girls. We are better off for having had the chance to have a small role in their very short lives. And, even though we're now living in East Tennessee, our bond to Barnesville remains as strong as it did when we resided there. We consider Barnesville as our hometown.
Linda Walker, if you're the same Linda Walker we knew (Liberty Hill Road?), it'd be nice to hear from you and learn how you're doing nowadays.
Walter Geiger, thank you for allowing us the opportunity to remain in touch with Barnesville/Lamar County via the World Wide Web. You're a true gentleman, and I wish you much continued success in your journalistic endeavors. You produce a very quality news source, and we're very grateful for it, as it enables us to stay tuned to the happenings there.
