Since the taxpayers are not paying the reporter's salary they do not have the same right to know as they do the public officials and even public workers they are paying. You should know how much you are paying them. If not how would you know if you were getting your money's worth.
Who said anything about wanting to know his salary. Where did you read that, did I even mention that. On the other hand when did I say there was a problem with posting the information. It's called the freedom of information act you are right we deserve that. Try reading the words that are there and stop trying to read things into it that are not there the joke was that there was no name on the article (and yes it is an article) I'm sure that is not verbatim on the website posted. I don't care who wrote the article I don't care how much they make, I just found it amusing, or dare I say funny (as in ha ha) Wow you people amaze me
What is funny about it 'John Wright?' There are several reasons why no one put their name on the article.
First of all, it is not an original article. The salaries listed fall under 'open records' and we have printed these numbers every other year for almost two decades now.
Second of all, I would be happy to disclose my salary but I am not sure anyone wants to know my private wages. Assuming, of course, that I even posted this article.
Thats odd it seems like an original article with a website as a reference. Maybe sarcasm is a lost cause on the good people of Barnesville. I'm also sure that John has never heard that double entendre in his life. How original you must be so proud. It's also easier to find under the Ga dept of audits website. That will give you travel expenses too.
They have taught me to clean the restrooms around here and I also take out the recycling. I would at least get some compensation without the sarcasm evident in most threads.
First of all, my name (first and last) is a proper noun: Andrew Odom. That is a capital letter on each word.
Secondly, what did I do this time? I am not causing trouble. I just set the record straight on why these numbers were printed.
Man, when I do try and stir the pot no one notices. When I don't, I get taken to the wood shed. Oh well. Thank you for waking me up 'Anonymous.' This thread was getting stale.
Just ask for it. It should fall under 'open records." It may take some work to figure out just who knows but it is somewhere in county records, I would think.

I am actually just a well-intentioned volunteer.

Shouldn't that be on there too?

oh and Sheila, isn't it sad that the president only makes 400,000 per year yet the president of UGA makes over 550,000 per year
