#1 WITH A BULLET: Wille Hamm, a former Olympic class sprinter who was once compared to Bullet Bob Hayes and has suffered through cancer and the after effects of a serious auto accident, holds the Region 4-AA trophy after Lamar County's 48-0 rout of Macon County Friday night. Hamm walked onto the field with the Trojan seniors during pre-game ceremonies on Senior Night. It was the first time Hamm, a mentor to the team who has been undergoing serious physical therapy to train for the night, has walked since 2009 and the first time he has walked onto a football field since his senior year at LCCHS in 1975. Hamm, a U.S. Army veteran, plans to repeat his walk during Veterans Day observances at Trojan Field prior to the first playoff game Nov. 15. (Photo: Walter Geiger)
