Congratulations to all of you on this great accomplishment. A nice way to finish off a great season. I try to catch a few home games every year, but this year I looked forward to them. This was the best LC team I've seen yet. You could tell that this team had a solid bond. No super stars, just teamates.
I got to see a handful of practices and watched a lot of games, and this team was exciting to watch play. I didn't see any superstars either but I noticed a few players that did stand out. They played well together, IMO, and were well coached and their record showed it. Way to go Diamond Trojans.
The '09 team almost had a record as good as the '06 team (21-7). This team should be very proud of their accomplishments. Just a bunch of 'blue collar' guys that brought their lunch pails to work with them every day. Hard work paid off for these guys for sure. The 2010 bunch has a tough act to follow, but they'll be some of the same guys that just went 19-7 with a state playoff appearance, as 8-of-them were juniors on the '09 team. The biggest challenge for the '10 team will be replacing Parker on the mound, imo.
