Yeah; it's a waste of our tax money. But, you can't blame Murtha. He's doing one of the things he was elected to do. Building and operating that airport created jobs. It is all the other elected officials, the one that all of us elected that has to allow it because Murtha surely couldn't have done it on his own. Therefore, we should hold our own elected officials responsible for allowing it while we wonder how Murtha sold it to them. Then we should replace all of our own.

Jobs? One would have to awaken the security guard to get in. Few people, few flights to one town. Why in the hell do they need an alternate runway? Just another stealing, lying, democRAT that refuses to talk to the media.

Exactly my point. Jobs available with no job to do. Murtha is looking out for his supporters/voters. But, what are our representatives doing to look out for our tax dollars and prevent it? #4 Gonzo said it pretty good. " I approve your pork in exchange for your approval of my pork."

The only way to send a message is to vote them out of office. Until time to vote, write them a letter and tell them what you think.

Remember that respect is earned. If they don't earn it, you don't have to give it to them. Are they respecting you and concerned about what all these freebies wiil do to you and your family in the future.

It won't be long before the government tells you that it cost to much to treat you and that it is your time to die.

You all better start thinking about it!

Would be interesting to learn the whole story. For instance, when Congress allowed money for this project what other projects were approved as trade for the vote. In Washington reciprocity is legal tender. I approve your pork in exchange for your approval of my pork. Anybody know how to research this vote?

I am constantly amazed by the arrogance of government. They continue to squeeze taxpayers for every drop possible. How about they try cutting expenses and services the same way we must do it to balance our budgets. Who can the taxpayers turn to to get the extra money? Oh by the way, let's pay twice the market price for new park land, that in this economic time should have been tabled in the first place. Use the vote to get fiscal responsibility!

Well, let's all celebrate, obama and michelle had a date night. Aren't you just thrilled at the thought of it? This date required military aircraft, closing down streets and delaying the start of the broadway show by 45 minutes. It was a real deal, too. The cost is only estimated at $50,000 to $100,000. Don't know if this included the price of another dress or not. I can only wonder if this is the same person who said Americans must make sacrifices, or was it the one who said bondholders who would not take 28 cents on the dollar (Chrysler) were un-American. What has America done?
