Had it been up to the South obama would have not been elected.Only two states won out of the South but you really cant count Fla because its very diverse.If you break it down demographically,All the major cities in Ga were blue but the majority of the small towns were red.But African americans were accused of racism,stateing that blacks were going to vote for obama because he is black,like we dont have a brain to view the issues.Check the voting stats you tell me who are the racist.The South being majority red is not coincidental.Lets keep in perspective,I would have more respect for a white person if they just said they hated obama because he is black.Instead of cowardly hideing behind the issues talking about this socialism B.S.Yea right.

All politicians of all parties appear to be moving with the flow to maintain their own political power geared for their next election. No better example of this can be seen than that made by Senator Arlen Spector of Pennsylvania by changing political parties for his own attempt to hold his claim to power in that state. Almost all of our political leadership lacks the ability to be patriots and to stand up for America. Every step they take appears to punish 90% of America to appease the other 10%. Spending is out of control and our currency will soon be worthless. Other countries that used to look up to America are now wondering what lies in their future. I question Obama’s loyalty to protect Israel and I have a gut feeling that Israel questions it too.
I love my country and I hope with every breath that we never experience another revolution. However, if there was ever a time for American states to get prepared to take a stand and build a Militia against tyranny, that time is now. If things continue, a new revolution will be on the horizon. I applaud some states for passing state legislature giving notice to the federal government about infringement upon their constitutional rights. Every American state should follow. This is America, home of the free. On this Memorial Day, thank a veteran for the freedoms you enjoy but, be prepared to fight for your freedoms if you wish them to last.

It looks to me that it was corporate mismanagement not Pres. Obam that was the cause of this man loosing his business. Why is it so difficult to see that major corporations have no allegiance to any country? It’s all about leverage on anybody in any way to acquire capital. On another note, Walter, I knew Quimby Melton,III, when I was an Eagle Scout working at Camp Thunder BSA in Upson Co. for three years as a God-fearing teenager under, Hoke Copeland of Griffin, the Distict Scout Exe., and his son, Jimmy was a friend of mind, whom I had played football against in Jr. highschool games!
Back to the original, as Gary said I swore several times to defend this country against all enemies, foreign and domestic. I don't know Gary, but God bless him and his, and all God-fearing veterans cause I believe we will need them soon if the "Rapture" doesn't come very soon, as I believe it will.

However, rather than the company going under the government microscope and the government saying how things would be done, the company should have filed bankruptcy without government interference. They could have restructured and all the dealerships would have been equal. Government interference led to this. Government led by Obama.

Many conservatives complained about the Bush bailout. The freeloaders were praising Bush for that little bit of candy. Who might those freeloaders be? Of course the economy will pretend to get better when you throw trillions of dollars at it. Where do you suppose those trillions are coming from? Washington is buying extra green ink these days. Here is some good advice for you. Buy as much gold and silver as you can afford to buy. And a last question. Why is it that you liberals mount such a wordy attack when you are confronted with truths? And He said, "I shall mandate employer-funded health care for EVERY worker
and raise the minimum wage, and lower the white collar wage. And I shall
also give every person unlimited healthcare and medicine and even
transportation to the free clinics."
And the people said, "Give me some of that!"
Then he said, "I shall penalize employers who ship jobs overseas."
And the people said, "Where's my rebate check?"
Then "The One" said, "I shall bankrupt the coal industry, and perhaps even
the oil industry (Cap & Trade/Carbon Tax) and though electricity rates will
skyrocket, we shall soon build wind farms and solar power stations and drive
green cars that I shall mandate in Detroit !"
And the people said, "Coal is dirty, coal is evil, no more coal! But we
don't care for that part about higher electric rates."
So "The One" said, "Not to worry. If your rebate ($10/week) isn't enough to
cover your extra expenses ($3,000/year), we shall bail you out. Just sign up
with ACORN and your troubles are over!" "Only the fat cats will have to
pay."
Then He said, "Illegal immigrants feel scorned and slighted. Let's grant
them amnesty, Social Security, free education, free lunches, free medical
care, bi-lingual signs and guaranteed housing..."
And the people said, "Hallelujah!!" And they made him King!
And so it came to pass that employers, facing spiraling costs and
ever-higher taxes, raised their prices and laid off workers; though they
sold much less of their products.. Others simply gave up and went out of
business, and the economy sank like unto a rock dropped from a cliff. The
banking industry was destroyed. Manufacturing slowed to a crawl. And more
of the people were without a means of support.
So "The One" again blamed the prior administration, extended unemployment
benefits to a year, bailed out his favorite banks, and then took over the
banks and auto industries. "The One" said, "I am the "The One" - The
Messiah - and I'm here to save you! We shall just print more money so the
government will have enough!" "Surely one trillion dollars will make
everyone happy." And immediately the Fed complied and the money presses
roared.
And China reconsidered their one trillion dollars of loans to the US ,, and
threatened to call in their debts.
Other foreign trading partners said unto "The One", "Wait a minute. Your
dollar is not worth a pile of camel dung! You will have to pay more.. for
everything.. as your dollar becomes worth less."
And the people said, "Wait a minute.. That is unfair!!"
And the world said, "Neither are these other idiotic programs you have
embraced.
Lo, you have become a Socialist state and a second-rate power. What
factories are not owned by your government are owned by us. Now you shall
play by our rules!"
And "The One" said "Americans are arrogant, divisive, and derisive!" "We
will listen.."
And the people cried out, "Alas, alas!! What have we done?"
But yea verily, it was too late. The people eventually set upon "The One"
and spat upon him and stoned him, and his name was dung. But the once mighty
nation was no more; and the once proud people were without sustenance or
shelter or hope. And the Change that "The One" had given them was as like
unto a poison that had destroyed them from within, and like a whirlwind that
consumed all that they had built.
And the people beat their chests in despair and cried out in anguish, "Give
us back our nation and our pride and our hope!!"
But it was too late, and the once-glorious "Home of the Brave and Land of
the Free" was no more...
Perhaps it wasn't a Fairy tale after all!

When I worked for Zenith the Japanese were dumping TV sets and other consumer electronics at a fraction of their actual cost. Our own government did nothing to enforce trade laws back then. When we won a lawsuit our own government, Republicans and Democrats alike, never did a thing to let us collect.
Now about 40 years later we all suddenly are crying unfair. We let our steel go, we let farming go, we let our educational system fall apart, and now we suddenly think what is happening all happened because of the last five months?
Where have we been the last 40 years? The last time we took a big hit like this thousands of dealerships closed. That's the way the auto industry is. Steel mills go away, dealerships go away. Things like that always happen in a recession.
The last 500 months have been the real problem, not the past five months. Make no mistake about it, this recession started way back when W was steering the ship.
If we are all honest about this, the problems we face now really started many years ago. What we do now has very little consequence on the ultimate outcome. We can bitch about it, but we are where we are and it took years to get us here.
There is only one thing we need to decide.
Is it better if we all just let it collapse now, or is it better for the government to spend money and hold it off another few years?
Whichever path, eventually we have to face what we have let our country become over the past 30 or 40 years.
So which is better? Stop all the spending and let it all go belly-up quickly, or try to spend our way out of debt while we still have credit with the Chinese? That's what we need to debate.

The US government once again rears its ugly head. The number one thing Georgians need to do is cut the federal government umbilical chord and demand a strong return to state rights. The federal government should serve at the pleasure of the states. The states are not here to provide maid service to an out of control federal government.
This situation with auto dealers is just one of many ways the federal government abuses its serfs - uh I mean citizens.
Had the Government not "interfered" in this by guaranteeing Chrysler and GM money, nearly ALL of their dealers would be out of business. Not just a few of them.
This is Chrysler's second bailout. The first was in the late 70's. No one squawked about that one. No one is whining about the dealers that closed back then.

What the dealer really is crying about is the Government didn't bail him out. In the 70's hundreds of dealerships closed. Tough cookies for the dealers now. This is what happens when people stop buying cars.
We had 40 years to correct the course of this country, but we all wanted maximum paper money even if long term it was going to kill our economy. We wanted a service based economy based on loose credit, and we wanted the cheapest world bidders to supply our goods (and now even our services).
Let's not blame the last six months for what is really a 40 year mistake. If the dealer wanted to stay in business he should have switched to a more profitable company, or one who planned for a downturn.
Do you have any proof it was political payback? If Chrysler had not received any money from our Government, how many Chrysler dealerships would we have today?
