Sheriff’s report

Between Friday, May 22, and Thursday, May 28, the sheriff's office made 15 arrests:
Kimberly Kay Hill, 47, Barnesville, second degree forgery;
Aurelio Eugene Abreu, 54, Locust Grove, probation violation;
Shane Daniel Bright, 39, Barnesville, probation violation;
Earnest Barkley Jr., 60, Griffin, arrested for Henry County;
Trilina Deanna Whitmire, 29, Barnesville, arrested for Spalding County;
Donna Ray Corley, 49, Thomaston, DUI and weaving over the roadway;
Brittany Renee Pittman, 17, Barnesville, disorderly conduct;
Ronny Dale Haney, 40, Griffin, sexual battery;
Jonathan Perez Cruz, 30, Norcross, theft by receiving;
Eliseo Padron Gonzalaez, 23, Zebulon, theft by receiving;
Christopher Stephens, 34, Lumber City, six counts deposit account fraud;
Shinica S. Murphy, 34, Barnesville, DUI and weaving over the roadway;
Carlos Darrell Geiger, 34, Barnesville, criminal conspiracy;
Mary Elizabeth Geiger, 41, Barnesville, driving with a suspended license;
Jose Manuel Tlazcalteca-Cervantes, 23, Barnesville, driving without a license.
Deputies answered 117 complaints, responded to 24 traffic accidents, served 15 warrants and 10 civil papers and/or subpoenas and issued 38 citations. E-911 received 95 emergency calls, dispatching deputies to 37, Barnesville police to 24, county fire and rescue to 26, Barnesville firefighters to eight and EMS to 36.

are you kidding me? ronny haney? arrested again? It's so sad, to me, that these guys (THE REGULATORS-as they called themselves-even got tattoos) they swore to uphold the law, and while they were officers, they harrassed and humiliated a number of people. Ronny made some of the largest busts in Lamar County on the little strip of I-75 while he served. And the thing that gave him such a poplular name in law enforcement ends up being the thing that does him in. Personally I never had any run-ins with them, they were all rather nice to me, but I know some people that did. Just goes to show the old saying is true, "what goes around, comes around". I hope and pray they all get their lives back in order. Just because you mess up once or twice doesn't mean you have to ruin the rest of your life continuously.

I agree with you, why do the same people keep getting arrested but never stay in jail for long. Shane Daniel Bright is another one that i know has been arrested multiple times but yet he never stays in long. Why not send these people to a place where they can be out of society and learn a lesson, make them work 10 hour days outside in the heat. Also don't let them watch tv and play basketball, as long as jail is not a hradship some people will never learn.

How can I find out what someone was arrested for in Lamar? I knew daniel shane bright (from youth) and expected this...but i wish he would get his life together. this is ridiculous. i'd like to know more about what he's been arrested for in the past 10 years.

I AGREE SHANE BRIGHT IS A LOUSY HUMAN BEING THAT IS WASTING GOOD OXYGEN!!! HE HAS NEVER PAID CHILD SUPPORT FOR HIS 18 YEARS OLD DAUGHTER AND WHEN TAKEN TO COURT TOLD JUDGE TO MAKE HIM PAY THE MAX AND NEVER PAID A DIME. HE CAME TO MEET DAUGHTER AND NEVER SHOWED AGAIN. NOW CHILD SUPPORT HAS DROPPED CASE BECAUSE I DONT KNOW INFORMATION AND HE GETS OFF SCOTT-FREE, BUT DAUGHTER IS FINE AND ATTENDING COLLEGE NO THANKS TO HER SPERM-DONING FATHER.

So sorry to hear about your daughter. I'm glad she is doing well and going to college. It's not her fault he's pathetic. I have known shane since elementary school. He recently tried contacting me on facebook and i told him to get lost.

Can't you call child support recovery and tell them he's locked up in the LCSO jail? Why can't they add charges of failure to pay child support to those he's already facing thus keeping him in jail until he pays?

It pisses me off that the custodial parent can't just go to the sheriff's office themselves and press charges against the non custodial parent that fails to support their children.

BTW, kudos to your daughter for furthering her education.

just another example that some cops are corrupt.

barnesville is full of them.

one used steriods, was involved in prescription theft, and the list goes on. another shot himself and tried to blame it on another man because he wanted his wife. if the police would stop trying to screw peoples wives and do there job without bias we may get somewhere.

BPD and LCSO is full of hypocrites. they do the same thing you do, including drugs and alchohol but they rise themself above the law and arrest you.

boo hoo. thats two corrupt "Regulators". what a joke, they cant even regulate themselves.
