Prominent local attorney Norman Smith died Sunday at his residence after a lengthy battle with cancer.

He was always polite, and a nice young boy. As an adult, I met with him after I returned to Barnesville and found he was the same.
His family was always people to be admired, and I see his passing as a loss to the city of Barnesville.
I always remembered Norman as a kind person. He always had a positive word for everyone.
My Mother is in the Barnesville area,which gave me the pleasure of using Norman's professional services. I found at that time he is just as kind as I remembered in school.
Our hearts go out to his family.
