The Washington Monument is the most prominent structure in Washington, D.C. standing over 555 feet tall with views exceeding 30 miles. It is the largest stone structure in the world and made of marble and granite. It was built in honor of George Washington, who led the country to independence and then became our first President. Construction of the monument began on July 4, 1848 when the cornerstone was laid as part of a Fourth of July ceremony hosted by Freemasons, a worldwide fraternal organization to which Washington belonged. Deposited within the cornerstone were many items including the Holy Bible, presented by the Bible Society. Within the monument are 898 steps and 50 landings. On the 12th landing is a prayer offered by the City of Baltimore. On the 20th landing is a memorial presented by Chinese Christians. On the 24th a presentation made by Sunday School children from New York and Philadelphia quoting Proverbs 10:7, Luke 18:16, and Proverbs 22:6. From atop the monument visitors can easily see a perfect cross imposed upon the landscape with the White House to the North, the Jefferson Memorial to the South, the Capitol to the East, and the Lincoln Memorial to the West. The capstone of the Washington Monument was set on December 6, 1884 and the monument was dedicated on February 21, 1885. The monument sees over 800,000 visitors a year.
One feature that very few people know exist, and can’t see, is an inscription on an aluminum cap at the top of the monument of two words. “Laus Deo”

Almighty God,
We make our earnest prayer that Thou wilt keep the United States in Thy Holy protection; and Thou wilt incline the hearts of the Citizens to cultivate a spirit of subordination and obedience to Government; and entertain a brotherly affection and love for one another and for their fellow Citizens of the United States at large, and particularly for their brethren who have served in the Field.
And finally that Thou wilt most graciously be pleased to dispose us all to do justice, to love mercy, and to demean ourselves with that Charity, humility, and pacific temper of mind which were the Characteristics of the Divine Author of our blessed Religion, and without a humble imitation of whose example in these things we can never hope to be a happy nation. Grant our supplication, we beseech Thee, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Washington’s Prayer for the United States of America appears on a plaque in St. Paul’s chapel in New York City as well as at Pohick Church , Fairfax County , Virginia , where Washington was a vestryman from 1762 to 1784:
One thing to note is who now and who has had ties to the Freemasons in the past and present. (political and notable men in our history)
Another interesting point is all the symbols the Freemasons use and how they collate to Christianity or the lack there of.
Freemasons are not cults. They are not anti-Christian. They do not have there own Masonic God. They are not an evil organization. They are not the Illuminati against the Catholic Church. There is nothing I am aware of to fear from freemasons. They are not a secret society for the one world order.
