County commission chairman Jay Matthews reported Tuesday that one of his Fredonia Church Road neighbors was attacked by a rabid fox over the weekend.

dang.. that is crazy. I see them all the time near milner back roads. Martin dairy, ethridge mill. etc

I see them all the time in the daylight hours at Milner.
They are hunting for scrapes of food.

I saw a pair of foxes a week or so ago crossing Hwy 341 at the South Forty Dog Kennels going into the wooded area across the road. I thought then how odd.

I did not know about the day time movement, etc. I will my eyes out from now on!

oh heck--lookout folks,every hodo billbob with a gun will be blasting away at everything that even looks like a fox.i can see it now all these clowns dressed from head to toe in camo creeping around their trailers and old junk cars looking for all the rabid fox that are attacking people everywhere "dont you worry none dar'lin i'll protect you,ain't no rabid fox goona bite you and ruin that new DALE EARNHEART tatto you just got"

This morning, two coyotes were seen in Deerfield, they ran off when a dog started barking but they did come back, you think they were looking for scraps? or were they after something better to eat, theres a litter of puppies in the neighbourhood!

The strangest thing is I heard we had to get animal control from Upson to assist,because our animal control wasn't available.

Our animal control officer recently resigned from his position due to contractual stipulations, as I understand.

I've seen a few in the past few off 36 heading toward I-75
