H1N1 patient seen at URMC emergency room

Upson Regional Medical Center recently had its first case of the H1N1 virus, often called swine flu, reported when an out of town patient was admitted in the emergency department for fever and flu-like symptoms June 10.

run for the hills or a big pasture thats open. VP Biden said we cant get it in a field. He said no planes,commuter cars,or where we come in contact with other humans.

If you're meant to get it, then you're going to get it. If you're meant to die with it it, means you were meant to die with it. If you get it and live, it means it wasn't your time.

Why spend so much time worrying about something you have no control over?

that is the attitude people had long ago before they found out that washing ones hands had a profound impact on ones life expectancy. I do agree that there was a lull in the media when this story broke. they jumped on it and rode it like a cheap ride for a couple of weeks until some other "big" story broke. just a dang flu out of flu season...

my kid broke his leg in an atv accident. went to URMC. They sewed his face and mouth up with the wrong stitches. they were about to set the leg and close it. it was decided {thank goodness} that he needed to go to Macon. they were asked to clean and prep wound for surgery. upon arrival they would resterilize and set. when he arrived at Macon, they removed several shards of plastic, dirt and a couple of rocks from the open wound.

Still amazed that we learned about this 2 weeks after it happened. Sheeeezzzzz.
