Soccer moms and dads, pastors, teachers and even children and teenagers who are worried about their future are attending and organizing these events. People are angry, and rightfully so.
The cost to the taxpayer for the bailout alone has been estimated at $28,000 per person and that doesn't include the stimulus package. This also doesn't include the hidden tax called an inflation tax.
When the price of our services and materials goods are inflated due to the government printing too much money, that same government benefits by collecting more money in taxes, or an inflation tax.
Think of it this way: if a loaf of bread that costs $2 brings in 14 cents in sales tax, and if the cost of that same loaf of bread rises in price to $4, the tax on that item also rises and the entity collecting that tax benefits. The same applies to federal taxes on gas and cigarettes.
What this means is that in addition to the incredible burden our government has placed on us because of the bailouts, we are also being hit every time we purchase anything during an inflationary period. Many leading economists are predicting that due to the amount of paper or "fiat" money being produced by our government, the only reasonable expected outcome is inflation.
I believe education is the key to saving our country. We have to educate ourselves about the way our government works against our best interests. For example, most people aren't aware the Federal Reserve is not actually a government entity at all. The Federal Reserve is made up of a cartel of bankers, most of which aren't even American bankers.
The Creature From Jekyll Island by G. Edward Griffin is an excellent source of information on this subject. However, you can find many other sources via the Internet.
I would like to encourage everyone to attend a tea party near you and educate yourselves about what is actually being done to us by some of our elected officials. Stay informed about the bills being passed in your good name and take the time to call your local, state and federal representatives to tell them "no" to all future taxes and bailouts. Haven't we been taxed enough already?
All citizens are welcome to support our efforts in restoring our Constitutional freedoms and our Constitutional government. Please help us send a message to all elected officials they are to serve we the people and not themselves, large corporations, domestic and international bankers or special interest groups.
Bring your voices, signs, and hearts to the event in protest of unfair taxation, the current attempt toward government control over health care, bailouts of banks and corporations, and the further pillaging of the American people by the Federal Reserve banking cartel. Help us end the Fed in our fight to take our nation back.
A Tea Party will be held at the Spalding County courthouse on Saturday, July 4, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. I am also one of the organizers for the Georgia State Freedom Keepers Rally and Tea Party to be held at the Georgia State Capital on July 4 from 6-9 p.m.

These are the people who created the crisis and they now want to "fix" it. Yeah right

Bitching about taxes won't do anything. Instead of complaining offer some alternatives. What about some suggestions?
Like what services do we want to cut? Do we want to cut police, fire, roads and highways, welfare, the FDA, military, schools, FDA, FBI, or what?
We can't just say no more taxes and no more spending unless we are willing to accept the changes required.
What services do all you smart tea people want to cut? Name something you want to give up and the amount it will save.
Eliminate the Department of education, allow the states run their own depatments, Save 65 Billion.
Take away Nancy Pelosi's govenment jet $22,000 per hour
Require congress to abid by all of the laws they pass.... Priceless
We have all sat back far too long and allowed our government to steer our ship toward an uninhabitable destination. We can blame the few billion we lose on illegals, but look at the money it costs us because we moved away from being a one language nation that required new citizens to learn English! With schools barely able to teach we spend money on special teachers for Spanish, many of who are either not citizens or who became citizens just by being squeezed out of the oven while mama was in the USA. (What are we now, 15th in the world for education?)
We supply illegals who make well over minimum wage full health care and other benefits, while they use fake SS numbers and names to avoid paying any tax, and I can prove this is being done. At the same time a hard-working tax-paying $20 citizen doesn't get health care. I pay $14,000 a year for health care, and could still easily go bankrupt with one major medical problem.
Instead of going after the big money loss, we want to send a few prisoners back to Mexico so they can sneak back in later through our open borders.
Our great Republican leaders from Georgia, including the dip-wad who calls on the telephone with his "town hall meetings", all refuse to do anything. Just as the Democrats do.
While Obama is far from perfect, he in reality is no worse (and often a lot better) than any Republicans I've looked at. We've let it get this way because we allow ourselves to be sucked into the hate politics that pit us against each other while they ALL shaft us royally by playing on our emotions.
The economic framework we are in is so very simple to understand it is frustrating to see so many people who "don't get it" trying to rally others. It's simple.
Imagine every nation as a household.
Once we had a huge nice house, good weather, rich soil, easy oil, lots of rooms, more than enough raw materials to build anything, and lots of people were coming into our house to work and share in our resources. We sold much more to the neighboring households than we bought, so we started collecting huge amounts of cash. Everyone had a good chance at cash, even not so smart and not so educated people, because there was a lot of cash coming in.
Around 1960 we started using so many of our household's oil resources, we actually depleted the easy oil. We started to go offshore for easy cheap oil. Then we started letting people in other households work for us. We'd sell them our raw ores and let them process them, and then pay them for the labor plus a markup on our raw materials. We took it out of our savings.
We allowed more and more of our household's jobs to be done in neighbor's houses, and we simply transferred cash to them for their work.
Then we started buying raw materials and finished goods from people living in shacks with the garbage being dumped into the air and water, and giving them money. They had less cost because they didn't pay for trash pick up, education, or health care. It was cheaper to buy things from those neighbors so we quit paying members of our own household to work. We started paying them just to sit on their rears, or to shove our money around.
We've made this worse and worse for 40 years or so now. Reagan accelerated it by taking us totally in the wrong direction.

This is really why we are where we are. It took 40 years to get here, a place where we are not near number one in anything meaningful. We better start telling the truth and turn this ship around. It isn't going to be a Democrat or Republican that will pull us out of this mess, because our political system plays on hatred and lies and telling half-truths in order to stay in power.
It wasn't Bill's special cigars or a Republican's romantic foot tap under a bathroom stall divider that put us here. It was our overall national policy.
If we elect Republicans, we will have a slightly different course to the very same destination. If we elect Democrats, it will be the same course to the same destination. Either way we will continue to head toward the fatal fall.
Crying about spending and taxes won't do a thing because it isn't the core problem. The core problem is we didn't look our for our household while we had money and resources. We lost our money, we depleted our resources, and we can't even sell our brains when we are turning out children who overall are 10-20th in the world in IMPORTANT educational arenas.
We can't get rich again until we look at what really happened to get us here, and that has not been what happened the last six months or six years.
Yes Tom, I always give you credit for being smart. But losing sight of the exploding growth of government, the out of control spending, and the arrogance of leadership; causes me to question my assumption.
Despite our educational handicap, we probably should all learn to speak Chinese as they will be taking over America since they own all our money.
I notice instead of answering any points, you tried (like Shirley does when she has no answers) to turn this into a emotional debate or name calling session. I am neither liberal nor conservative. Both names make me ill.
Some "special" conservatives tend to slap others with their own particular breed of Jesus Fish and act holier than all others, while our nation is based on freedom from having one person's particular faith shoved down other's throats. Religion, business, and politics or business are two separate issues for me.
Liberals are just as bad the other way.
Both groups are what have killed the USA. They start mindless personal arguments instead of discussing facts.
The fact is it doesn't matter how much money we spend inside the circle of the USA. It is a closed loop of money. If you start spending money by handing it to your wife, and she spends money by handing it back inside your household....you don't need any more gross income. It all stays the same.
What breaks our backs is uncontrolled spending outside our country. This is wealth we accumulated that leaves. It will never come back unless we sell labor or materials overseas. That is the real problem. It has drained our wealth and now we are low on resources. We have little to sell.
Instead of pointing fingers or using ad hominem attacks, tell others what we should do.
I can do that without attacking anyone. Why can't you?
We should add a tax on imports that levels the playing field to our environmental and life quality standards. That money should be dedicated to helping us compete in the world markets, or keeping the world clean. Then anything we buy would in effect be from people with the same life and environmental standards we force on businesses here. We would be competing on a level field where the hardest working most innovative people can win, and we could win. We can't get in the mud and wrestle for jobs with people living in one room quarters for a whole family, who have no services, and whose Government pays any health care and retirement.
We should convert welfare into work-fair. If someone is paid for sitting home, even unemployment, they can get their rears outside and clean the roads. They can cut weeds, they can paint. They can babysit for working people. They can clean. They can go to school and maintain a certain grade. They can do something if they want free money.
We should seal the borders and change the laws that allow any child of illegals born here to automatically become a citizen. We should make English mandatory, and if you have a child who cannot speak English the parents must learn and use English in a reasonable time or they get no help. We need to stop the Social Security and Tax fraud by illegals by jailing or extracting the money from their employers.
You won't find a Republican or Democrat who wants this because it will cost them votes.
The fact is we have been shafted for 40 years now as people have used ad hominem attacks, guns, taxes, or religion to divert the issue from the real problems that are killing us. Suggest something we can do besides spewing the old worn canned responses like "no more taxes" or "you must be a xxxx because you don't agree with me, and I'm wonderful".
What would you have us do? Insulting people, preaching, classifying, or calling names aside, what would you do and why?
The subject was TEA parties and being taxed. I couldn’t agree more with you regarding illegal aliens. I too think they should all be rounded up and sent home. No immigrant should be rewarded for attempting to reside in the USA by starting off breaking the law.
Back to subject, you correct me if I’m wrong but what you refer too is nothing more than Isolationism and Protectionism. And yes the United States did practice that just after the Declaration of Independence was signed. However, the currency of the United States is now basically considered the world currency which would make that practice impossible. Government has borrowed money for out of control spending and governmental growth. That money can only come from taxes. Money wasted can only result in increased taxes for all.
Now government is attempting to push cap and trade down our throats which is going to result in even more money pulled from the individual’s pocket. And it will affect every person regardless of being very poor or very wealthy. It amounts only to a hidden tax that is going to do nothing more that make Al Gore extremely rich while costing us jobs and the inability to compete in foreign markets.
Health care is surely going to drive government spending excessively out of control. Why doesn’t government investigate tort reform to bring cost way down? Tort reform would bring health care down to a level where everyone could have health care. And it wouldn’t require government interference to obtain it.
We are definitely headed in the wrong direction. And yes both parties are to blame for the sake of votes to stay in power. However, Republicans lean more toward the Isolationism and Protectionism ideals. Therefore, if both are bad, I’ll try and hold on to the party less bad over those that are eagerly selling us up the creek without the paddle. There are few, if any patriots left in government. Until people really become enlightened as to what is happening in government, we have no other direction to go but down.

We never learn anything when we surround ourselves with people who agree with us. NASA, when it was in its heyday, would intentionally seat people who strongly disagreed or who were from another area in brainstorming sessions to obtain the best outcomes.
Groups formed from people who largely agree with each are the worse way to run anything. For an example of that look at our local IDA. It might as well be one person running the whole show. This is true all through groups where critical decisions are made.
Others seem to have a lot to say when free to use emotional, political, or religious rhetoric, but very little to say when pressed to actually state a plan or when held to facts.
I would rather be a tea bagger than a democrat
in this day and time. When Roosevelt was President
it was a good -AMERICAN- President but not now. This
man does not like America so -WHY-WHY-WHY did he want
to be preident--TO DESTROY AMERICA?
This country will never ever be back to even close to normal. It isnt gonna happen. Why try and bust our brains to come up with a solution.
Jesus is the answer, but we (as a nation) have steered so far away from Him and have no plans on going back.
All of these things that have happened over the past years have all been prophecied(sp?). The proof is in the pudding. If you were to read the bible and even just listen to some good preching and take notes of the scriptures you will see that all this stuff was forseen long ago to come true.
Im not one of these ppl that say that Jesus is gonna come back next week but no doubt about it, He is coming.
With all of the stuff that has already came to light that is in the bible i dont see how anyone can deny the few things that are left to happen.
Bottom line. America is doomed. We are all doomed as a complete world. Best thing to do is just live your life to the fullest and get involved with church.
We are electing great speakers with charisma and charm, but not looking at their actual experience and what they have accomplished or not accomplished..so what else should we expect?
