Although signage on its building at the corner of Taylor Street and College Drive in Barnesville indicates OB's BBQ is just closed for the holiday weekend, there are numerous indications the business has closed for good.
On July 1, several men were spotted stripping tables and removing items from the walls. They told Herald-Gazette/barnesville.com staffers the building is undergoing renovations.
However, several employees have contacted us via facebook to report they were told they had received their final checks.
What is the word out there? Will OB's be back or has it faded into OBlivion?
Their chicken strips were the best in town and their fries were amazing.
We dont need OBs prices to jump up 40% like big chics do every 6 months. You would think we live in alpharetta as high as some of these food prices are around here. Average income in this area is probably 20-25k a year yet we compete with $10 order of buffalo strips as if we live in an area where the income level is 80k on an average.
I make a good deal more than the average but im not too keen on paying these outrageous prices on food.
