A host of dignitaries, firefighters and citizens were on hand this morning for groundbreaking ceremonies at the site of the new Lamar County Fire Station #1 on Roberta Drive.

No Mid Georgia Ambulance. The Milner will not moved to the new station. Good news. New careers firefighters, new fire engine, EMTs 12 hours and 3 young volunteers "rent free". He noted. Good job Lamar County Commissioners and Barnesville Mayor.

Yes Mid Georgia Ambulance. The Milner will move to new statin. Bad news. Old careers firefighters, old fire engine, EMTs 12 hours and 3 old volunteers "rent free". He noted. Bad job Lamar County Commissioners and Barnesville Mayor.

County Commissioners were spotted with shovels with big red bows on them. They had scooped up a little dirt with a big S-E grin on their faces. With recent reports of rabid animals in the area and the LOCO actions committed by these commissioners, people are warned to remain clear until they can be captured and their heads sent to Atlanta for examination.

If you see one of these commissioners, do not attempt to capture. Call the Barnesville City Council and the Mayor.

You both stop.

Nancy Thrash noted the engine and ambulance now in Milner will be moved to the new station. Those at the Parker Branch station will then move to Milner. Jay Matthews noted applying for 9. 9 "county and city" firefighters staying at the new station 24 hours. Jimmy Hearn noted new engine and new tool. George Brown applying for 9 volunteers. 9 volunteer firefighers stay at the Parker Branch or Piedmont station.

it absolutely helps the south end of the county - the fire fighters save 3 -4 mins getting to you by not having to go up and make a u-turn at grove street to head south

About 8 or 10 mins. Too late. Jay Matthews said yes. He noted 9 city and county firefighters staying at the new station 24 hours. The firefighters save 3 or 4 mins. Next year. You will see.
