Between Saturday, Dec. 11, and Friday, Dec. 17, the Barnesville police department made five arrests:
Deon Davis, 2363 Central Dr., Atlanta, giving false name to a law enforcement officer;
Sammie Furlow Jr., 397 Atlanta St., Barnesville, probation violation;
Kordell Jackson, 3519 Kensington Station, Decatur, probation violation;
Delita Taylor, address unknown, Barnesville, disorderly conduct;
Norris Zellner, 505 Woodland Dr., Barnesville, theft by shoplifting.
Officers answered 70 calls for service including two accidents, six alarms, 18 building security checks, one crowd control, five disturbances, 18 escorts, one fraud, one harassment, one loud music, five miscellaneous, one prowler, two shoplifting, one suicide attempt, six suspicious persons/vehicles, one theft and one welfare check. They issued 33 citations including one disobeying traffic control device, one disorderly conduct, one giving false name to law enforcement, one head light violation, one no license on person, one possession of alcohol under age, two seat belt violations, one shoplifting and 24 speeding.
