Mr. Billy Dee Jackson, age 45, of Barnesville, GA passed away on Thursday, June 13, 2019, at Brightmoor Hospice.
Billy was born on Monday, October 29, 1973 to the late William Edward Jackson and Deana Carver Jackson. He was a truck driver and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Barnesville. Billy loved to ride his motorcycle.
He is survived by his wife, Rhonda Jackson; children, Kristopher Jackson, Taylor Jackson, Isaiah Jackson, Destiny Jackson, and Selena Jackson; mother, Deana Carver Jackson; brothers and sisters-in-law, John & Kristin Jackson and Bruce & Billie Myers; sister and brother-in-law, Jackie & Isaac Brandon.

Dr. Mark David King, age 58, of Barnesville, GA passed away on Sunday, June 9, 2019, at his residence.
Mark was born on Wednesday, January 18, 1961 in Berwyn, Illinois to the late Harry Joseph King and the late Loretta Catherine Mulvaney King. He was a professor at Gordon State College for 14 years. Mark grew up in Towson, Maryland. He loved the Chicago Cubs, reading, cooking, and spending time with family. Mark received his PhD at LSU and his master’s degree at DePaul University in Chicago.
He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Laura King; daughter, Katherine Ressie King; brother and sister-in-law, Terry & Kathleen King; sister and brother-in-law, Diane & Robin Hirth; nieces, Brigid King, Shannon King, and Caitlin King.

Jean was born on Friday, June 17, 1932 in Barnesville to the late Ben Salter and the late Ida Mae Andrews Salter Bishop. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Tolvin Frederick “Turk” McCall; brother, Richard “Jack” Salter; and stepfather, Dick Bishop. Jean worked at the William Carter Company as an inspector and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Barnesville. She loved being around animals and people. Jean loved to be out and about.
She is survived by her daughter, Debbie, and her husband, Donnie Keadle; son, Gary McCall, and his wife, Ruthie; grandchildren, Chad Keadle, Brandy Hathcox, Monica Freeman, and Trent McCall; great-grandchildren, Chloe, Noah, Sophie, Lucy, Joe, Kyle, Ethan, Lucas, and Jacob; great-nephew, Christopher Salter.

Lowell was born on Saturday, August 24, 1935 in Tellico Plains, Tennessee to the late John M. Young and the late Bessie Ellen Stewart Young. He is also preceded in death by his beloved wife, Janice A. Newman Young; siblings, Claude Young, Hollis Young, and Dale Young. Lowell retired from Ford Motor Company where he worked in Inventory Assessment. He loved traveling with his beloved Janice. Cody, Wyoming was his special place. He loved the mountains and working outside. Lowell enjoyed square dancing, was a square dance caller, and was a member of and started many square dance clubs.
Lowell is survived by his children, Kent Young, Sonya Dyer (Mack), and Barbara Ann Matthews (Chris); grandchildren, Dean Matthews (Melissa), Nikki Matthews, Mackenzie Dyer, and Noah Dyer; great-grandson, Shane Matthews; sister, Azalee Moore; brother, Corbin Young (Vanda); sisters-in-law, Delores Young & Hilda Young Pearson.

Larry was born on Wednesday, May 5, 1948 in Franklin, Georgia to the late Jay Chatman and the late Adell Vaughn Chatman. Larry was also preceded in death by his wife, Bonnie Ruth Langley Chatman and brother, David Marty Chatman. He was self employed and worked as an electrician. He loved to fish and paint, was a member of the Central Baptist Church and was very generous by giving to others.

She was also preceded in death by her sister, Mary Harrison; brother, Buddy Harrison. Sarah worked at Carters as a supervisor and was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene, where she served as a Sunday School teacher and President of Missionary Society for many years. She loved to cross stitch.
She is survived by several cousins; caregivers, Elaine Benson, Janice Fowler, and Margie Brinkley.

Mrs. Opal June Taylor Hamrick, age 84, of Barnesville, GA passed away on Wednesday, May 8, 2019 at Brightmoor Nursing Center.
Mrs. Hamrick was born on Wednesday, October 24, 1934 in Zebulon, Georgia to the late Alfred Arlington Taylor and the late Louise Yeager Taylor. Opal June Taylor Hamrick was also preceded in death by her sister, Carol Taylor Wade of Stockbridge, GA. She retired from Southern Bell as a Chief Operator and worked with the Trust Company Bank of Georgia in Atlanta. She was a member of Rock Springs Church and a former member of First United Methodist Church of Zebulon. She played tennis and basketball in Zebulon High School. She was a wonderful homemaker and mother, wife, and grandmother. She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary for 30 years and served as past President and Secretary.
She is survived by her husband of 62 years, William Hamrick.
