A 1997 Honda Civic belonging to Donald Clark was found at approximately 7:30 p.m. December 26 at a Forsyth motel, according to Lamar County sheriff Joe Buice.

The car was found in a parking lot at the Tradewinds Motel. Buice said the car had been in the lot since 6:30 a.m. on November 19 - the morning Clark went missing. [Full Story »]

Jennifer Lynn Clark, ex-wife of Donald Clark, and her boyfriend, Kenneth Michael Yost, have been arrested and charged with murder.

Warrants were signed late Christmas eve afternoon after a body, presumed to be that of Donald Clark, was found at 3:10 p.m. by Lamar County sheriff Joe Buice and Lt. Ronnie Goins on a tract of land in Redbone known as the Tom Rusk dairy that is now owned by Ralph Adamson.

Buice said lead investigator Rick McCreary had obtained murder warrants for Jennifer Clark and Yost and both were taken into custody. Additional charges are likely. [Full Story »]

Authorities conducted a comprehensive search Dec. 23 in eastern Lamar County after a lead turned up in the investigation into the disappearance of Donald Clark. A state helicopter was called in and spent most of the afternoon searching to no avail. Additionally, a pond in the area was searched. [Full Story »]

Jake Sutton returns as Milner police chief

Former Milner police chief Jake Sutton beat out six other candidates interviewed over the past two weeks by Milner city council and will be offered the police chief job beginning in January.

Sutton served as Milner’s chief 15 years. Should he accept the job, he will replace outgoing chief Brad White, who is leaving in January to rejoin the Lamar County sheriff’s office. [Full Story »]

Scrapyards across nation urged to be on the lookout for Clark vehicle

Working with the Griffin Police Department, Lamar County investigators have issued an alert to scrapyards across the nation to be on the lookout for a car belonging to Donald Clark who has been missing from his Lamar County home since November 18.

"We worked with a contact the Griffin department had to list the car on a national alert system. We appreciate the help," investigator Rick McCreary said Friday. [Full Story »]
