Crime and Arrests

Georgia State Patrol Post 44 in Forsyth investigated 14 traffic crashes during October in Lamar County. The accidents resulted in 11 injuries and no deaths.
Troopers issued 56 citations in Lamar during the month including four DUIs, 36 speeding and three seatbelt violations. They also issued 28 warnings. [Full Story »]

Officers answered 89 calls for service including five accidents, 11 alarms, four EMS assists, 17 building security checks, two burglaries, one damage to property, four disturbances, two dog complaints, one domestic, one entering an auto, 19 escorts, one fraud, two harassments, four miscellaneous, two noise complaints, one robbery, one shots fired, five suspicious persons/vehicles, one terroristic threats, three thefts, one traffic control and one welfare check.
