Deputies answered 117 complaints, responded to 24 traffic accidents, served 15 warrants and 10 civil papers and/or subpoenas and issued 38 citations. Between Saturday, May 16, and Friday, May 29, the Barnesville police department made three arrests:
Kelly Piper, 152 McKneely Rd., Barnesville, DUI and expired tag;
Bobby Robert, 408 Woodall St., Barnesville, battery and cruelty to children;
Robtavious Ross, 627 Greenwood St., Barnesville, driving while unlicensed.
Officers answered 69 calls for service including nine accidents, seven alarms, one EMS assist, 10 building security checks, one damage to property, two disturbances, two domestics, 10 escorts, two forgeries, one fraud, two gas drive offs, one harassment, one juvenile complaint, six miscellaneous, one noise complaint, eight suspicious persons/vehicles, four thefts and one welfare check. During April, the Milner police department logged 434.5 hours on duty and patrolled 4,791 miles. Officers investigated 10 incidents and four accidents; performed 88 building security checks and eight assists; and answered 18 miscellaneous calls. They issued 78 warnings and 43 citations including 24 speeding, one permitting another to violate state law, one driving in violation of limited permit, four child restraint violations, five seat belt violations, one driving without headlights, two DUI, one window tint violation, one no insurance, one driving with a suspended license, one ran stop sign and one move over law violation.
