On February 18, 2014, the Griffin Police Department arrested Joseph Love, Ke’onta Deon Glass and a juvenile all from Griffin, Georgia in connection with two burglaries that were committed at Liberty Technology located at 120 E. Taylor St. in downtown Griffin, Georgia over the past weekend.

According to the Butts County Sheriff's Office, the Escapee was captured around the 195 mile marker on I-75 southbound in the wood line Tuesday night.
No one was injured in the apprehension.
Michael Shane Upshaw Jr., 26, was being transported by Jones County authorities to the Georgia Diagnostic and Classification Prison when he escaped around 7:35 a.m. near the Interstate 75 exit at Ga. Highway 36, authorities said. The prison is located not far from the exit.
