Jake Sutton returns as Milner police chief

Former Milner police chief Jake Sutton beat out six other candidates interviewed over the past two weeks by Milner city council and will be offered the police chief job beginning in January.

Sutton served as Milner’s chief 15 years. Should he accept the job, he will replace outgoing chief Brad White, who is leaving in January to rejoin the Lamar County sheriff’s office.
