In a town well over 100 years old there is bound to be suggestions concerning the origins of any particular architectural staple. Such is the case with the nostalgic and charming Carter's Drugstore located downtown at 203 Main St.

I am concerned a bit with the very stringent policies of the historic pres. society and the rules they currently have in place. Many of the windows in these 2nd floors are nearing 100 years old. They would need to be replaced for energy efficiency and some insulation work would have to be done. The city would have to be more lenient on replacement windows, perhaps color, placement of dumpsters during renovation time, etc.
I for one would love to live in a 2nd floor especially if it had rooftop access. What a great goal for Barnesville.
I thought the correct title was "Ode on a Greecian Urn"
The original poem is "Ode To A Grecian Urn." I tried a very forced play on words by saying "Ode To A Grecian Turn" making reference to the grecian influence in the architecture. I guess it wasn't a very good pun. hahahahahaha.
1795-1821. He wrote a number of Odes, this one was during the time of 1818-1819.
He died of TB in 1821. You must have been absent in your class that day, if you took literature.
Your comment and seeming pomposity remind me of the lines, "Heard melodies are sweet, but those unheard are sweeter." Some folks just aren't that sweet.
Cheers!
