A Lamar County teen is on his way to Grady Hospital in Atlanta after a four-wheeler crash late this afternoon.

I remember going to the hospital after slamming head-on with a tree when I was 13 on my go-cart. Growing up is so fun. Hope he is ok. He'll be riding it again in about 3 weeks.

I wonder if this is the same kid that has been riding up and down the roads in the area acting like a total moron! The kids in this area on ATV's are insane. They ride up and down the roads and won't move for a car. I have even seen them pull out infront of a car. Try riding through people's yards and even aim their atv at family pets. Maybe now he will stay off of the thing!

Oops. Must be 17 years or older. Firefighters and EMTs scene investigation today. Not a crime.

If his is afraid of his ATV I would like to buy it as long as it's ok.

I'll teach him how to drive it.

It was only a matter of time before this happened. These kids on ATV's over here have been running wild. Both kids and adults. It was only a matter of time before one of these hooligans got injured. He's lucky he hasn't been killed. Especially riding through people's yards and such in the area. Maybe now the parents will DO THEIR JOBS AND PAY MORE ATTENTION TO THEIR CHILDREN!!!

This happened on a private road not on the county road , he knows it is against the law to ride on the county road, Also my family is not Holigans or Morans, I have seen the kids you are talking about Get your facts right before you start bad mouthing somebody.We didn,t ask the paper to show up and start taking pictures.

I have had my share of ATV accidents at riding areas before and seen my share of them on public roadways too. Gotta be careful all the time. Most important thing is wearing a helment. I can give horror stories from my trips to Rocky creek atv and durhamtown plantation with guys running 50mph and flipping into trees. Kids and adults like myself are subject to get hurt on atvs and that is something people have to deal with. Just like people that ride motorcycles, its dangerous. Just be careful and wear a helment.

They are still to young to be on a 4 wheeler. The last time I checked you had to be old enough to have a drivers license not a LEARNERS PERMIT! Kids shouldn't be on atv's period and here's why!

Also just because your child knows they aren't supposed to ride on the public road do you honestly know that they are not. Are you with them every minute they are on their atv. But the person above was right the kids in the area on ATV's an accident waiting to happen.

Goad your child will be ok but 4 wheelers are not toys.
