Two Barnesville men were arrested by agents of the Narcotics Task Force July 31 during a drug raid at 609 Greenwood Street in Barnesville.

I'm so sorry to read this. Chris has a good Mama Roxie who raised him right. He was great with the cheer-teams at school. It shows that at any age one bad choice can destroy all the good of your past.

If Chris is guilty - and he's innocent until proven guilty - I hope he finds a treatment program that will take him back to his former self.

lock'um up and throw away the key for 10 years.because if you dont they will be breaking into peoples homes and cars and stealing everything before long.rehab is a bunch of crap the only rehab druggies need is to have their heads busted a few times by another inmate.all these two clowns will do is start their jail house religion junk and start saying how they have "found the lord" and try and sway someone into beleiving they have changed so they can get out and get high again.to heck with them YOU DO DOPE YOU DO TIME!

Yes Chris has made a big mistake and he is already paying for it. I'am so sorry that everyone is so down on him everyone should be praying for him. He got with the wrong crowd and now he has to pay th price. No matter what he has done Chris is a good guy and he will always be our son. He is not the only one that has done this and he will not be the last that is if he did it. About his job he has to work somewhere as he lost his other job and we are doing all we can to help him and all we ask is that you pray for Chris and for us, God bless you all

When I visited my hometown of Barnesville recently, I was sad and depressed because I saw what toll drugs have taken in the community in both black and white....I knew it was coming but not so quickly...I did a research paper in college and found that the elimination of jobs whithin a community tends to lead to increase drug use as a way of escaping reality. Barnesville has got to attract more employers who pay decent wages or drugs will take an even greater toll. Arresting drug dealers and addicts don't help at all but jobs and treatment will. I hope my hometown will stop looking at issues in black and white and come together and help each other. Most of Barnesville citizens are supposedly Christian and it's time to stop being hypocrits and do what your Lord and Savior did to the hopeless and down troddin or get rid of all the churches in the community.

Roxie....we are praying for you and your family. I'm very shocked that this has happened with Chris. I hate it for all of you. It takes one thug to introduce it to someone that is in such a low state of mind that he makes the wrong choices in his life. I just wish people would say "NO" and stay clear from it and the people that use it....I don't understand it myself. We love you Roxie and we're hoping for the best with you and your family.

I have known Chris and his sister for years. Not sure what made him do such a thing.I pray that he will recover and go back to the "old" Chris before Meth. Not sure about the other guy, but I will pray fro him as well.

I hate it that Chris is on meth and I will remember both Chris, Edmonson and your family in my prayers. Chris was always such a good person and I know he will turn his life around as I know he has some great parents, brother and sister to help him.

Ms. Roxie I have worked with your daughter and I knew Chris from his work at the school. I know you have raised your children well and everyone makes some bad choices. Chris, i love you. you are a brother to me. i know you made a mistake and got caught up with the wrong crowd. as to why meth is in the picture, who knows. only you know why you chose to take a hit and for some people it only takes one. it just shows that meth crosses all barriers and effets all people in all walks of life.

barnesville will be judgemental on you. i know that and you do to. thats what the people of barnesville do as long as it is not themselves.

you made a mistake. learn from it and move on. i hope that you can recover from meth use and be a shining star once again as you have always been.

I only know Chris, and not the other young man.
I would ask Chris to look inward for a moment and reflect.
My kids think he is a wonderful man, they both have been part of Chris' orbit, as one of his employees or a cheerleader on his squad.
As an older member of the community, I have enjoyed knowing Chris just because he's so darn likeable.
You have some fans out here, Chris, as does your mother.

Nobody has blamed the devil for making them go down the wrong path. They made their own decision for getting into meth for whatever reason. As sugarpie stated "So sad how the Devil uses sex, drugs and alcohol to seduce people into evil." The devil won't just appear and tell you to do something. You have to make the decision yourself to do the right thing or go down the sinful path of the devil such as these two guys have done. I hope they learn from this, and stay away from that mess from here on out.

Everybody is surprised about Chris as am I. But really nothing should surprise us with the day and time we are living in. These are the last days, the devil IS working over time. Hey, if you don't believe that it is because he has already got you and there's no need to work on you anymore. He comes to steal, kill and destroy. And he works overtime on trying to destroy families. Chris it is ok that you fell short and people may turn their back on you but God never will! This is to all you that are bad mouthing and turning your backs on Chris. You should be ashamed of yourselves!! Chris is one of the best people I know. He would lay his life down for anyone he calls a friend. He would do anything for anybody, because thats how good a person he is. He made a bad decision and hung out with people he thought was his friend, who have now turned their backs on him, but are also to blame. You don't know what personnal issues Chris has been dealing with and feeling he had no one to turn to. Life is sometimes difficult and we all try to cope differently. I'm not excusing what he may have done, he just chose the wrong people to hang out with and they influenced a bad decision. You shouldn't be turning your backs on Chris now when he needs you the most! This one mistake doesn't define who he is! He is a great man, a great friend, and he deserves a second chance. Think of all the good he has done serving the school district and all the good things he may have done for each of you and focus on that. Be there for him now when he needs true friends the most.

I know I have let a lot of people down in Barnesville. But to let everyone know I was not a every day user, I did not need it every day. No one knows what personnal issues that I have been dealing with. I am not excusing what I have done, and I have not turned my back on GOD like some of you think. Remember I am person, and we all make the wrong decision.

To all my FRIENDS: remember what I have told you that I would always be a true friend to you no matter what! Well now that this is happen and I have not done any methamphetamine for two week ends.. Where are you now, we all partied on the weekends not just at 609 but any where we could. It is ashamed that you told me I was your friend, but know that this is said and done. I stop and think are you my true FRIEND or was it because I spent my money to buy the methamphetamine, beer, cigarette's and anything my FRIENDS needed. See what I am saying to all of you is I will all was be Chris Peugh to all my friends and will care for them and not turn my back on you like you have done to me in the time of need right now that I need you. I just hope that you my FRIENDS that are still out there have in fun don't get cought.

Chris, ask yourself a serious question... Why are you so concerned with reconnecting with these so called "friends"? You admitted that these people were there enjoying the benefits of you spending the money on the drugs, alcohol,ect. Why does it seem like your biggest disappointment in this entire mess is about them not being there for you now? If they are the same ones who were with you in this major set back of your life, why oh why are you so intent on them being there for you now????? If you are sincere about moving forward from this chapter in your life, the last thing you should be concerned about is reconnecting with the same group of "friends". Your entire blog seems geared toward letting these people know how disappointed you are in them turning their backs on you.... wake up call..... that's what people who are addicted to drugs do!!!!! Their main goal in life is to be in the company of people who have the financial means to feed their habits. As I sat and read all these comments it is comforting to know that Chris' family does have some people in this community supporting them. As for those who keep putting all their stupidity on here why don't you put your name so that people will know who the real idiots in Barnesville are...Are you sure that you have never done drugs? One couldn't tell from the ignorance you display. As for "Meth" I can sympathize with the family and the user/abuser affected by this dreadful drug. My brother is a recovering "meth addict" that has been clean for 5 years now but it wasn't the 3 trips to prison, rehab, nor him hitting rock bottom that helped him to get clean. It was him realizing that he had a problem and telling himself that he did not like what it was doing to him or those who loved him so he made up his mind to quit...it was not easy but he did it! Before you go passing judgement you really should educate yourself to the drug and the effect it has on those who use it...it is the only drug out on the streets that actually damages the brain. So I ask of all you that are ignorant to what meth is and the effect it has on those using...read up on it and educate your mind! I had to do this in order to understand what my brother was going through and unless you know you can't help the abuser! My brother will always be recovering because he realizes that he could relapse at anytime but he has made the decision to stay away from former drugs buddies and he had to change his playground. If you have never attended a NA meeting they will tell you that you have to change your playmates and playground! I will close in saying that people who live in glass houses shouldn't throw rocks! Not one of us are perfect and we all at one time or another have done something that we are not proud of, only difference is we didn't get caught...so let you who be without sin cast the first stone! Chris you and your family are in my prayers and I do hope that you realize this is something that you cannot beat alone!

i didnt take chris's blog as trying to reach out to the people he was hanging out with when he got in trouble.

i thought he made a good point. everybody is your friend when you have money, drugs, etc. but when you run into a problem, you see who your real friends are. so i think thats the point he was making.

God will judge us to determine whether we go to Heaven or hell. While you are here on this earth there will judges that will find you guilty or innocent when you commit a crime. Quit saying that please. That gets on my nerves.

Bottom line is there is no excuse to buy, use or sell meth or any other drug. Anyone that chooses to do so should be punished. Most of you on here ranted and raved when Reginal Tamplin got busted and people was taking up for him. You all dont need to look at this situation as "chris peugh" got busted, rather that another meth dealer is off the streets for a while. Chris the cheerleader coach, bus driver, or just plain ole crazy chris is obsolete now. He is 100% in the wrong and these people that busted him are no fly by night group. They have been watching for a long time and enough was enough.

What about Kenny look at what he has been thru,he lost a leg and gets around by wheel chair and golf cart,does he use meth? Ms. Roxie don't let these people get to you! I knew Chris from school. I used to work with Jodie at the Country Kitchen. I have left Barnesville but keep up with the news. There are and will always be stupid people in Barnesville who want to see who they can tick off. First things first!!! I love both of these guys. Great guys with great families. Bad situation. So many anonymous!! You guys have no balls. Anyways, not gonna talk about my friends and judge like so many. Just gonna comment on how Barnesville is full of good people, but damn there a lot of DOLTS!!! # 44, Look at what you said. "There is no excuse to sell meth, or any other Drug". Whatever. You're right about meth, but do you ever take Advil??? You see, the government (our societal dicataor) decides which drugs we consume without getting in trouble. DId you know that Holland has less teen drug abuse and "crazy crack-head" problems because its legal(As long as your not driving or endangering others). And not because they are smaller, duh!! Thats a percetage. They made drugs boring. Over there if you endanger others, you go to jail. Not to say our country would run the same, but only because it was founded on the same controlling, naive government which we ran away from. Our country is very young. Our criminal justice system is useless. Just because something is illegal doesn't mean its wrong. If you disagree, then you probably believe in SLAVERY. Visa versa for that. If its legal, doesnt' make it right. Question yourself sometimes. It helps. I used Meth at the age of 22, and I stopped. I packed my bags for a family emergency and took off to Texas. It has been almost 8 years, and I saw how Barnesville reacted. I expected it. I will never use meth or any type of speed, whether it is legal (i.e. adderall). I hate addictive substances, and I still smoke ciggs and drink. But you don't see me laying down judgment. And for those of you who talked about the Devil. Trying to get religious on this gossip column is pointless. We are given the chance to decide our own destiny. Sometimes we make a choice and die. Sometimes we go to jail. Please realize how lucky some of you are (or ignorant, or in cahoots). Your skeleton remains burried for now. Freeing yourself from addiction is very possible. And for some of you crazies, don't worry. Freeing yourself from ignorance is also possible. Actually not hard at all. Just step back, and take a long look at yourself. The Devil. Its just a label for an evil force. I'm wiling to bet he doesn't have horns or a pitch fork. He probably has a large bank account though. lol. what ever. Evil exist. But not for long. The Devils' greatest trick was convincing the world that he doesn't exist.

Ok. First and foremost. I've read a number of these comments and would like to make just one small request. Stop sounding so bloody ignorant.
Specific examples:
1. Someone said that meth is the only drug out on the streets that damages your brain. WRONG. All drugs have negative or damaging affects to the brain. Everything from alcohol to LSD can be harmful.
2. You all seem to think that these guys should be tossed into the bowls of our judicial system where they can either dry out naturally, or have some crazy thug beat it out of them. Neither of those will happen. It's far easier to get drugs while locked up than it is to get them when you're running the streets, so they won't have to quit using. Plus, the small time drug guys who go in usually end up running the show, so they won't get beaten up. And here's a fun fact for you: 50% of America's prison population comes from small time, non-violent drug users/dealers. Think of how much money could be saved if they weren't living off the government (i.e. tax payer's) dollar.
3. A large number of you want to bring God or the Devil into this and hide behind you church (notice I said church and not Bible.) Being addicted to drugs is a life consuming problem. And trust me. No one addicted wants to be addicted. SO maybe instead of judging (which every good Christian knows is not his place) and condemning (again, we all know this is left up to God) we should show these guys some compassion. Extend our hands to help them, not beat them down.

The repeat offenders are the ones that end up in prison, where they should be. I'd rather my tax dollars not go to facilitating drug addicts in jail and put them in medical facilities where they should be. I've seen drug addicts have more high paying jobs than most of these people replying to this silly forum. Keep your judgements to yourself, you are not God. Drug addicts don't belong in jail. Certainly meth addicts are not lazy; it seems to me that you aren't familiar with the drug known as SPEED. It's funny that I don't even live here to watch a town with a population of 100 people go crazy about drugs and want to put them in prison for the rest of the life. Why not fix them and let them back into the world? I'm pretty sure they wouldn't run around on the Interweb looking to give their 2cents on a silly forum that doesn't mean anything anyways.
