William Robert "Bob" Woodall, Jr, 73, of Avondale Estates, Georgia died on June 2, 2018 after a valiant fight with leukemia.
A longtime member of Decatur First UMC, Dr. Woodall earned his PhD from the University of Georgia and then worked 28 years for Georgia Power Company and Southern Company, retiring in 2000 as Vice President of Environmental Policy. After retirement, he and his wife, Susan, spent most of their time on their historic antebellum plantation in Hancock County and raised grass-fed beef, goats, and chickens while pursuing restoration activities.
