I applaud Mr. McBroom and others sponsoring this event in helping spread the word about child safety seat importance. The health department has been the key partner in this program for several years and we are glad to have other community partners join us. If you can't make the check today you can call and schedule an appointment at the health department.

Driving is not a right so get a grip. Have you ever been to an accident where a child was not in a car seat? If you had, you would never had made that comment.

We checked 9 seats yesterday. Out of the 9 seats everyone of them needed to have something corrected. We are trying to keep your child safe. Injury is the number one killer in children.Car seats do expire after 6 years and form time to time may have a recall. We will doing another seat check on September 25 at the Ingles's parking lot from 1:30 - 3:00 pm. Please stop be and have your child's seat checked. Thanks for the parents and grandparents that came be yesterday.

Thanks to everyone for doing this for us. My child seat was installed properly, and for that I am truly grateful. Allstate, Barnesville PD and others are to be commended. Thanks again for helping your community!

Good to know we have citizens and business owners like Hillery and Danny that help our local police department keep our children safe.
