As a rotating crowd of nearly 200 assembled throughout the day Saturday at the Lamar Co. Elementary School as a total of 79 babies, toddlers, pre-teens and teen girls - all anxious and nervous but all beautiful - took to the stage in the hopes of being named part of the Miss Buggy Days court.
Judging the contestants were Walter Banks, Mia Johnson and Marchia Merkins.
On hand to crown the girls was Miss Sweetheart Georgia, Madison Banks.
And as Kirsten Fisher was crowned Miss Buggy Days 2009 so began this years Buggy Days festival!
A few of the individual contestant sponsors were First National Bank, United Bank, Goggan's Florist, the Rumble Seat Inn and State Farm.
