Despite the threat of rain all day and the eventual downpouring that turned Summers Field into Summers Lake, the 'Anything Goes' games went on despite all.
With events such as the three-legged race, egg relay, water balloon toss, tug-o-war and football catch nearly 250 people showed up to either participate in or support the games.
Taking first place was the Attack Soccer Team while Bankston Lumber came in a very close second. Rounding out the top three was Lamar County Primary School.
While rain and scattered thunderstorms are still in the forecast for middle Georgia the 'Street Dance' scheduled for tonight has been promised to go on "rain or shine."
Almost anything went at the Anything Goes games.

Way to go!
Vehicles unlawfully parked on RR property and much too close to the track. Clearance on the illegally parked pickup truck at the depot was less than 6 inches when the two trains passed on Saturday. The owner was exceedingly lucky.
It is only a matter of time before someone is killed when the train strikes these vehicles and sends them flying.
Calling Barnesville PD does no good, the warnings were ignored last year and this year as well.
