Before anybody go judging and criticizing this man first of all let me say. He is my cousin. I have known him all my life and he is a good person, a loving father. He is not a habitual criminal or anything. He is one of the last people you would suspect to do something like this. So see what his motives was for doing this before you judge. I love you cuz and keep your head up.

Questions:
What's a man to do?..... What's a man to do?
Rationale in search for answers:
No Stimulus check. No welfare check. No tax return check. No student loan check. No PayDay loan check. No PawnShop loan check. No job. No M/D 20/20. No cigarette money. No Daily 3 money. No dope. No crib rent money. No power bill money. No propane money. No gasoline money. Likely a victim of abuse and discrimination. Was public schooled.....
AND worst of it all, he drove a 'gay' Sebring automobile. ugh!
A man who would drive over 40 miles from Woodbury to the First National Bank in Griffin and make a cash withdrawal in order to purchase baby formula could be a "loving father".
The problem with that premise brings into question Cuz's knowledge and understanding of local banking transactions.
You should inform Cuz that presenting a check is the preferred method of obtaining cash from any bank. When you visit Cuz in jail, tell him that long terms in a Georgia penitentiary 'preclude pistol pulling'. Verify this with Sheriff Dee Stewart.
Motives? I await...
"With bated breath, and whispring humblenesse."
Well unfortunately your cousin or cuz should be locked up for a long time. Anyone who goes into a bank waving their gun and firing shots off should be arrested and locked up. Habitual or not, he was their to do one thing, break the law. It doesn't matter if he is a good person, never done anything like this before or just plain broke; he broke the law and should be locked away.
Are you serious? You could not be serious just then. The guy opened fire in a bank at a bank employee. There is no motive that can possibly justify what he done. It doesnt matter if he is a habitual criminal or not. He is a piece of trash. Too sorry to work for what he needs himself so he puts innocent lives in jeopardy to try and take it from others. This is what makes me sick about every crime that happens. The family always comes along and says "No don't judge him" "He didnt' mean to do any harm" Why dont you and the rest of the families say "Yeah he messes up and needs to pay for his actions" It is people like you that come to the aid of pathetic individuals like this that is driving America into the ground. You should be ashamed to even be remotely related to this sorry waste of space.
You know the shameful part of this is this is a clean cut, nice looking man. He could probably do or be anything he wanted but he chose the wrong road. Do the crime, do the time.
If he had kept his head up in the first place he would have enough integrity not commit such a crime. I get so tired of people saying "keep your head up". I say keep your head up when you have pawned something to make the rent. keep your head up when you have to work two jobs to buy groceries. keep your head up when you do without so your kids can have... I say hold your head down in shame when you rob a bank...
You can always count on the family to defend the wrong doing. Instead of saying, yes he/she did wrong. Also, you don't need to defend a man that robs a bank with a gun & wearing body armor. Obviously, he planned this with intent. Normal, everyday, working class people don't own, or have a need for body armor. So I'd be willing to bet that he has an extensive criminal past. I'm just thankful that no one was hurt or killed during this robbery.
Why does someone address the real issue...why doesn't someone stand up to FNB and withdrawl all your money out because the employee that shot at him was fired!!! If bank robbers knew someone could shoot them it would sure cut down on repeats!!! Get your guns we are being robbed!
#4 summed it up. BODY ARMOR. If a man wears body armor and a gun into a bank then his intention was to rob it and try not to get himself hurt. He planned to use the gun and knew he would likely be shot at so he wore body armor. This how a jury should see it.
I don't know the man or his personal situation but I will say that this economy is driving alot of people to do things that they normally wouldn't do.
I laughed out loud at the "hold your head up, Cuz" remark. That cannot be serious.
Mr. Bank Robber, if you had the wherewithal to buy some body armor and a gun and take a long drive to rob a bank, you certainly have enough money to buy some khakis, a nice button down shirt and shine your shoes to go out and apply for jobs like the rest of us.
No jobs, you say?
How about investing in a lawn mower and a couple of rakes and do some landscaping work. There are men out there who can support a family doing that type of work.
Too demeaning for you?
Go to a trade school to get a welding or truck driving certificate. The HOPE grant will pay for everything buy your books and that's less than $100.00.
Wait, my mistake.
You're busy for the next few years now.
Anyway, keep some of these tips in mind when next you find yourself at loose ends.
I still like my idea of locking them in when they come in to rob the bank. Let the same button that pulls the bars down at the door alert the police. Why would the idiot hurt anyone, he will just get an even longer sentence.
Lets see if you go into Big Chic, your motive is to eat chicken! if you go into the shower at home, your motive is to bathe! So if you go into a bank, with a gun and body armor?...come on.....what is it? what is the motive? what is the intention?....not to hard here....do you need a hint?...what was CUZ trying to do?

do you live in barnesville or do you just go to Gordon
I currently reside in Pike County with my big ol' country girl.
NO ONE can "just go to Gordon". One goes to the movies, to the store, to see aunt Flossie, to the toilet, etc..etc.
However, one can "just go to Gordon" to matriculate knowing a great education will be the result if one studies really hard.
They fired that employee? Are you serious? They should have thrown him a party!

My humble advice is DON'T hold up your head!
Some of these folks just want you to straighten up so they can slip a hangman's noose around that bulging muscular neck.
This isn't 1965 Mississippi! Lots of hangings!
I realize you have that 'tilted head pose' look in your mug shot indicating that you possibly have prior outlaw experience, but, you haven't been convicted yet. So keep that chin hanging down to your chest in order to keep the rope off your neck.
Don't look up! Don't do it! Ya' hear?

Questions:
Are you ASKING? Do you have $money$?
Own a car? Apartment or house?
Who do you suggest for BEST MAN?
Who do you suggest for BRIDES MAID?
Move your accounts from FNB and let them know why. They fire a man that has been there 20 years without allowing him to clean out his desk drawer. I guess if he had saved a bank employee's life it would have been the same. United is the best bank.
Sheila, how would you have felt if he had TAKEN a bank employees life? I agree that termination was harsh, but companies have rules and regulations for a reason. I think that it probably could have been handled a little different, i.e., let him retire, maybe?
In response to all the posts I've read so far...I personally know this guy and yes a bank robbery is out of character for him. However, it doesn't change the fact that he committed this act. Hard times don't justify robbing a bank with a firearm (and firing it at an innocent civilian). He's ruined his life and will probably get a life sentence, if convicted, for possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony. There's no rationalizing his actions b/c they were irrational. Friend or no friend, family or not...WRONG IS WRONG! Stand for something or fall for anything.
I would have felt protected that there was a big enough man to stand up to the thug!! That is what is wrong with you ppl today......What if's........What the f....If and but and why.....Life is not lived in the what if's but in the present.....Until you learn this you will stay in never ever land with M.J.
Bush was not exactly the Messiah either. What do you think will change in 2012...nothing. Just some more picking the lesser of two evils. You poor thing. You've been bamboozled into thinking that the answer lies within "one" mortal being. God bless you.
TO BAD AINT NONE OF YALL APART OF THE CRIMINAL JUSTICE SYSTEM. SO GUESS WHAT YALL OPINION ABOUT HIM DON'T EVEN MATTER I BET YOU WON'T GET ON THE NEWS OR RECORD YOURSELF SAYING ALL OF THIS ABOUT HIM. DON'T STATE YOUR OPINION AND GET NO CREDIT FOR IT, TELL WHO YOU ARE SO YOU CAN GIVE YOUR NOT NEEDED OPINION TO THE FAMILY. JUST LIKE THE OTHERS SAID YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT THE MOTIVE WAS. HOW U KNOW HE WASN'T FORCED TO ROBBED THAT BANK? HOW YOU KNOW HIS FAMILY WASN'T IN DANGER? RITE! YOU DON'T KNOW SO SHUT UP!
Sheila, I have not gone anywhere. I just have more important things to do in my life than sit and blog. I don't have to study that question at all. I am a HIGHLY educated person. You don't have the luxury of knowng what I know about this case, i.e. I AM VERY WELL CONNECTED. If you had read what I wrote, I stated that termination was harsh. There are certain things that you apparently are not aware of. (1) Ins. companies cancel ins. for incidents like this (2) companies get sued for this ( by tellers and bad guys ), etc. It would not suprise me at all that as soon as this guy finds out that a bank employee violated policy (maybe, I don't know their exact policy ) and fired at him, he will probably file a lawsiut against the bank. The sad part is, some jury somewhere will award him money for mental pain and suffering. So ending I will say this: FNB has lost a valuable employee and in the long run will ultimately pay for the defense lawyer of the very man that robbed them. Now ponder that for awhile. I am leaving town for a bit, get back with me next week. That should give you plenty of time to attempt to jusify your comments or questions to me.
Stop fooling yourself MANCHESTER NI**A! Great classy name you picked for yourself. Does that make you feel tough like a gangster or what...lol. Please keep the excuses coming, they are quite entertaining.
if "our" opinions do not matter because they are just on this small town blog, what makes you think that "your" opinion matters. If you really felt that way you would not have commented yourself. nor, would you have typed in all caps. I think he should be ashamed and serve the maximum penalty for his crime. Then the other aspect comes into play. Tax payers will have to foot the bill for it, but I would rather my share go towards incarceration costs rather than the many alternatives...
Well Stickman, it's like this. I grew up very poor, so I am not highly educated. I am too smart to be interested in being WELL CONNECTED. Although highly educated well connected people do usually get the cells with windows, I see your advantage. I have been in HIGH MANAGEMENT jobs, through hard work, not degrees. I have been through law suits before with companies. Here is my most interesting one. Braniff Inc. was an American airline years ago. The company that I worked for made their airline trays, plastic containers, etc.
When their business spiked they wanted to insure that we could supply their demands. They negotiated a contract with us that we would hold safety stock in our warehouse but they would be committed to accept and pay for it by a scheduled shipment agreement. Things went swell for awhile. We sent invoices and they followed with payment. Then they got to the point that they could not compete in the market with all the other 'no frills' small airlines that were starting up. We sent invoices but they sent no money. They filed for bankruptcy. Get This! They took us, among others to court on the grounds that "if we had not sent them invoices they would not have been forced into bankruptcy." THEY WON THE SUIT. We were forced to grind all of their safety stock because it carried the Braniff logo. A big financial loss to our company but the courts are foolish sometimes.
Nice talking to you. I do not associate or know that many highly educated well-connected people.
I have been forced to follow some stupid company policies because of stupid people myself. But I can say, when one stepped over the line for such an unusual case as this, I fought for them. It is called a policy over-ride clause. Once in a while you get cases that should be carried before a board and the rules may be bent a little.
Many other options were available in this case. Reprimand in the file, cut in pay, some unpaid time off, etc.
Yall dumb as hell. You don't kno what was goin on in that boy's mind. He could even been forced to do it. I bet yall wont say ya names. ha ha, oh, but u got so much to say. Scary ass folks.
