A dedication service and open house is set for 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 18, for the new Fine Arts Center at the Lamar County schools campus.

This is a very nice addition to school system! Over the years I've been to many plays and concerts in gyms or lunchrooms. This is another facility for this county to be PROUD of!!!

Maybe I'm looking at this thing the wrong way but I just can't see the justification for spending so much money for an auditorium with a fancy name during current economic times. Our schools need other things more than they need this building at this time. I'm sure it's a very nice place I just don't think the timing was right. Just which "Jones'" are we trying to keep up with anyway?
