Lamar deputies working on I-75 on October 15 seized 22 pounds of high-powered, hydroponically grown marijuana worth $112,000 following a routine traffic stop.

Some on the blogs have written they are s-o-o- disappointed because they see LCSO patrol cars in the area of Exit 201. Waaaah!....Waaaah!
Wear those cruiser tires out by running up and down I-75 catching all of those worthless drug- running-no-tax-paying-CRIMINALS!
Neither YOU nor your TEAM will ever win the Nobel Peace Prize.
Because: You DO 'SOMETHING'..not..'NOTHING'.

I haven't read about any ALARMED homes being robbed. Is your residence burglar proof? Do you have an alarm system? Insurance?
If ignorant people don't look ahead to protect their homes and valuables, they deserve to have to buy new stuff if they provide inviting targets for robbers to hit. Get a LOUD alarm system that will scare them away if you are not at home and a LARGE gun to use if you're at home.
The LCSO can't look after every home in the county at the same time. Don't blame the cops. Personal responsibility begins at HOME.
Aghud Nayber... with an ALARM and a 12 ga. SHOTGUN.
Meanwhile, the burglars were caught in Monroe county. My neighbor is spending thousands she doesn't have to install a security system after the Magnum bandits kicked her door in.
that is the stupidest statement i'v ever read on any bolg anywhere.dude YOU realy should get some help.that man-crush you got for Waller is a sign of serious problems.
It appears you are PRO-burglar. Run a fencing operation?
I bet you don't have an alarm in your trailer or any valuables.
Aghud Nayber will shoot all burglars!
Thousands of $$$...Drama for effect.. Poor decision after the fact.
The alarm system for my large home was installed for $565 which includes 24 hour monitoring for 1 year. I provided the shotgun.

Wally, you seem to think $565 is too high for your double wide trailer.
I agree with you. I'm sure with such small square footage of the trailer and only 2 doors to protect, the costs would be much less. I suggest you call ADT and have them come over to the trailer park and give you a detailed quote. For safety sake, you shouldn't linger in calling ADT.
I have read that many older trailers have been burglarized when their cheap doors were jimmied open with a straight screw driver.

By the way, did it ever occur to you that we have other deputies in the county besides the one who are working the interstate? Whether you like it or not, it takes money to operate the department in Lamar County. I would just as soon have the drug runners money as anyone elses. Also, these same drug runners on the interstate don't mind pedalling their wares in Lamar Co.
The whole I-75 patrol is just an updated version of the old speed trap and is ALL ABOUT MONEY.
