The murder trial of Ronald Eugene Smith which was scheduled to get underway Monday in Lamar superior court has been continued.

This is to be expected, I suppose. A lot of evidence and testimony to go thru.

It was announced by the judge that the DA's office and the court were ready, but the defense needed more time.

Ol' Smitty has packed on a few pounds while eating loads of jail house carbs. His mug shot kind of gives him a casual pumped up hard look.

With that bald head he could be the model for a brand new Trojans ad.
I'm speaking of the condoms, not the mascots of the Lamar County school.

Why don't we go ahead and give him the needle. Is Milam going to stand by and let a another senseless murder go? Hey DA it only takes one death penalty to stop these crimes in Barnesville.
