The following letter read on Glenn Beck's show, is rapidly circulating around the country via Internet and email. Americans everywhere are identifying with this 53-year-old woman and finding a personal voice in her words. (letter after the jump)

I think we all know employers have not come close to compensating workers for the increase of the CPI over the last 10 years although executive management pay has continued to rise at an alarming rate. A CEO pay is 3 to 4 hundred times higher that the average worker. Their pay for one day is thousands of dollars greater than an entire year’s pay of the average worker. Their view is short term profit and will extract as much wealth out of the corporation as possible and at the expense of anyone who can not stop them.
"we seem to be living in a currency of medieval ideas."
Actually the letter sounds like it was written by Wendall Wilkie 1n 1939. At 74, I've been there and done that with the best of these ignorant fools. Thank goodness for FDR.
Can someone prove this person is real?
"we seem to be living in a currency of medieval ideas."
Alcars sez: In Sting's interview with, NEKESA MUMBI MOODY,
"Stink" offered more pearls of wisdom referencing Messiah Obama:
***************************************************************************
In many ways, he's sent from God,"...
"I can't think of anyone better qualified because of his background ,
his education, particularly in regard to Islam," Sting said.
"found Obama to be very genuine, very present, clearly super-smart,
and exactly what we need in the world."
"We are here to evolve as one family, we can't be separate anymore."
*************************************************************************
Even though his breathing is heavy, "Stink" is not a lone participant in the Obama circle jerk. He has joined in with 'One World Pelosi-Reid'.
"Stink" is a wrinkled aging multi-millionare crooner with an indolent British accent who fancies himself as one qualified to speak down to Americans.
I love to hear Moses 'Parrot' Tolley melodiously squawking on key without musical accompaniment, whereas, I can't bear to hear Stink gagging on his songs like he is choking on Oscar Meyer's weiner.

DEMOCRAT
You have two cows.Your neighbor has none. You feel guilty for being successful. You vote people into office that put a tax on your cows, forcing you to sell one to raise money to pay the tax. The people you voted for then take the tax money, buy a cow and give it to your neighbor.
You feel righteous. Barbara Streisand sings for you.
SOCIALIST
You have two cows. The government takes one and gives it to your neighbor. You form a cooperative to tell him how to manage his cow.
REPUBLICAN
You have two cows.Your neighbor has none. So?
COMMUNIST
You have two cows. The government seizes both and provides you with milk. You wait in line for hours to get it. It is expensive and sour.
CAPITALISM, AMERICAN STYLE
You have two cows. You sell one, buy a bull, and build a herd of cows.
DEMOCRACY, AMERICAN STYLE
You have two cows. The government taxes you to the point you have to sell both to support a man in a foreign country who has only one cow, which was a gift from your government.
BUREAUCRACY, AMERICAN STYLE
You have two cows. The government takes them both, shoots one, milks the other, pays you for the milk, and then pours the milk down the drain.
AMERICAN CORPORATION
You have two cows. You sell one, lease it back to yourself and do an IPO on the second one. You force the two cows to produce the milk of four cows. You are surprised when one cow drops dead. You spin an announcement to the analysts stating you have downsized and are reducing expenses. Your stock goes up.
Do you believe cow "poop" results in 'global warming'?
Moooo? Liberal Tearists doooooo!

This is an example of why we are in trouble. The media we depend on does not accurately pass information through. We get all stirred up by falsified drama.
Look at where the Republicans and Democrats have taken us with Wall Street. The rules that prevented what happened at the end of the Bush term were removed while Clinton was in office. The spearhead of that movement was Republican Phil Gramm. The Republicans and many Democrats are opposed to restoring the laws that protect us, and are brain washing us into thinking limits on what they do with money is anti-capitalist.
They have not changed a single rule that allowed the collapse, and now the companies are even bigger than before and right back to the bad deals.
Meanwhile we sit around fiddling about things that don't matter at all, while Rome is burning.
I care less how much money is spent on stimulus so long as ALL the money stays in the USA at a low level (where it is spent to live) and something long term is created with the money. What really makes us poorer is shipping money out of the country whether for drugs, oil, illegal aliens sending money out to foreign families, or foreign labor. Another thing that makes us poor is letting money pool up in the hands of a few people, where it does nothing to help anyone else get rich.
We are a ship of fools who actually think China, Arabia, Columbia, Mexico, Japan, or a dozen other countries or regions will eventually send money back by buying from us.
We are broke for a reason any good businessman knows, we spend more OUTSIDE the store than we take back in from the outsiders. The inventory we build, the cash drawers we have, no matter how we "redistribute wealth" in the store stays in the store. The store is just as rich and everyone in it has a chance to get the money over and over again, until we ship money out the door.
Redistribution actually is what makes our economy work. The real problem is when we distribute it outside our country with no hope of getting it back. That's why we are really broke.
We are in big trouble because we let hate make us blind. We stopped learning how to think or reason for ourselves.
comments sir.
It is arrogant to assume you know it all and question a few billion of our beliefs.
Tell us we are ignorant backwood, hayseed fools, when many scientist believe the same thing.
Tell me Mr. Science, where do babies come from?
Was the first born, hatched, or did it bloom on a tree?
Did we evolve from mokeys and they from lemurs and they from crickets or worms?
Single creator, Virgin birth sounds pretty believable to me...not because I don't understand science, but I simply have faith.
What do you beieve? A lightning bolt striking a mud puddle a few billion years ago gave us all manner of plants and animals?
That's what we Christians are dealing with.
That is just as "faith-based" as Christianity.
No science there.

It's interesting that you were compelled to clarify a particular ghost,... "ghost(the holy kind)"...How about: 'ghost (the writer kind).'
Jeff Prugh would turn in his grave if he could read your 'BELIEVE' rant.
Everyone has to BELIEVE....I BELIEVE I want my money back!
Call N. Alcars
I don't believe anything your statement that "everyone has to believe" notwithstanding. I do think a lot however and I find that it is easier to change what you think than it is to even admit that your beliefs need changing.
I have never stated that WW was innocent. On the other hand, I know, as opposed to believe, that he wasn't justly convicted.
The enphasis on "holy" was to differentiate between those who say they don't believe in ghosts but still swear by that old Holy One.
Contrary to your intimation that Jeff Prugh was my "ghost writer." the facts are stated by Jeff himself on page 5 of "The lIST:"
"This is not a ghosted, but rather coauthored book"
So you can file your erroneous conclusions about this matter in the empty file that awaits your awakening to myriad other false conclusions, that block your ability to think for yourself.
Jeff was cremated and I doubt that there is room to turn over in his urn. However, if it is of any solace to you be apprised that Jeff died with a full knowledge of what I think about religion.
Run your fingers as others do their mouths and perhaps like the proverbial group of monkies you two might stumble on to a fact or two.
If you would like to continue this discussion you can write me at P.O. Box 2060 Loganville, GA 30052.

545 PEOPLE
By Charlie Reese
Politicians are the only people in the world who create problems and then campaign against them..
Have you ever wondered, if both the Democrats and the Republicans are against deficits, WHY do we have deficits?
Have you ever wondered, if all the politicians are against inflation and high taxes, WHY do we have inflation and high taxes?
You and I don't propose a federal budget. The president does.
You and I don't have the Constitutional authority to vote on appropriations. The House of Representatives does.
You and I don't write the tax code, Congress does.
You and I don't set fiscal policy, Congress does.
You and I don't control monetary policy, the Federal Reserve Bank does.
One hundred senators, 435 congressmen, one president, and nine Supreme Court justices equates to 545 human beings out of the 300 million are directly, legally, morally, and individually responsible for the domestic problems that plague this country.
I excluded the members of the Federal Reserve Board because that problem was created by the Congress. In 1913, Congress delegated its Constitutional duty to provide a sound currency to a federally chartered, but private, central bank.
I excluded all the special interests and lobbyists for a sound reason.. They have no legal authority.. They have no ability to coerce a senator, a congressman, or a president to do one cotton-picking thing. I don't care if they offer a politicia n $1 million dollars in cash. The politician has the power to accept or reject it. No matter what the lobbyist promises, it is the legislator's responsibility to determine how he votes.
Those 545 human beings spend much of their energy convincing you that what they did is not their fault. They cooperate in this common con regardless of party.
What separates a politician from a normal human being is an excessive amount of gall. No normal human being would have the gall of a Speaker, who stood up and criticized the President for creating deficits.. The president can only propose a budget. He cannot force the Congress to accept it.
The Constitution, which is the supreme law of the land, gives sole responsibility to the House of Representatives for originating and approving appropriations and taxes. Who is the speaker of the House? Nancy Pelosi. She is the leader of the majority party. She and fellow House members, not the president, can approve any budget they want. If the president vetoes it, they can pass it over his veto if they agree to.
It seems inconceivable to me that a nation of 300 million can not replace 545 people who stand convicted -- by present facts -- of incompetence and irresponsibility. I can't think of a single domestic problem that is not traceable directly to those 545 people. When you fully grasp the plain truth that 545 people exercise the power of the federal government, then it must follow that what exists is what they want to exist.
If the tax code is unfair, it's because they want it unfair.
If the budget is in the red, it's because they want it in the red ..
If the Army & Marines are in IRAQ , it's because they want them in IRAQ
If they do not receive social security but are on an elite retirement plan not available to the people, it's because they want it that way.
There are no insoluble government problems.
Do not let these 545 people shift the blame to bureaucrats, whom they hire and whose jobs they can abolish; to lobbyists, whose gifts and advice they can reject; to regulators, to whom they give the power to regulate and from whom they can take this power. Above all, do not let them con you into the belief that there exists disembodied mystical forces like "the economy," "inflation," or "politics" that prevent them from doing what they take an oath to do.
Those 545 people, and they alone, are responsible.
They, and they alone, have the power.
They, and they alone, should be held accountable by the people who are their bosses.
Provided the voters have the gumption to manage their own emp loyees...
We should vote all of them out of office and clean up their mess!

Tax his land,
Tax his bed,
Tax the table
At which he's fed.
Tax his tractor,
Tax his mule,
Teach him taxes
Are the rule.
Tax his work,
Tax his pay,
He works for peanuts
Anyway!
Tax his cow,
Tax his goat,
Tax his pants,
Tax his coat.
Tax his ties,
Tax his shirt,
Tax his work,
Tax his dirt.
Tax his tobacco,
Tax his drink,
Tax him if he
Tries to think.
Tax his cigars,
Tax his beers,
If he cries
Tax his tears.
Tax his car,
Tax his gas,
Find other ways
To tax his ass.
Tax all he has
Then let him know
That you won't be done
Till he has no dough.
When he screams and hollers;
Then tax him some more,
Tax him till
He's good and sore.
Then tax his coffin,
Tax his grave,
Tax the sod in
Which he's laid...
Put these words
Upon his tomb,
Taxes drove me
to my doom...'
When he's gone,
Do not relax,
Its time to apply

STILL THINK THIS IS FUNNY? Not one of these taxes existed 100 years ago, and our nation was the most prosperous in the world. We had absolutely no national debt, had the largest middle class in the world, and Mom stayed home to raise the kids.
What in the hell happened? Can you spell 'politicians?'
And I still have to 'press 1' for English!?
I hope this goes around THE USA at least 100 times!!! YOU can help it get there!!!
GO AHEAD - - - BE AN AMERICAN!!!
They are self absorbed deep thinkers, but not believers. In my religious experiences, the anti-religion thinkers possess closed minds with heads harder than the wooden cross that held our LORD.
I suggest you refrain from further commentary with "thinker" Chet.
You will never penetrate his rigid barrier.

I like your list of memorized questions guaranteed to trip up the most zealous of the non-believers. The problem is that it is designed to attack Darwinist. Problem is that I don't buy Darwin either.
I have no idea about how mankind got to its present state but it isn't difficult to figure out that if a god created Adam and brought forth Eve from a rib, there was a whole lot of incest going on in that garden. After you figure out all the fine points of where baby's come from you might apply that knowledge to who begat whom after Adam.
Ever wonder: What if man always was? Doesn't infinity go in all directions?
You are entitled to your "simple faith" it sure easier than thinking. But what about all those Allah worshipers? What about the Jews and the Hindus, the Krishnas the Buddist and all of the millions of others who also have a simple faith. There are probablly more people in the world who "believe" in multiple gods than there are monotheists like yourself. Are they right as well or are only Christians the"True Believers" and if you believe that and I have no idea whether you do or not, doesn't that come under the heading you tried to stick me under i.e. "arrogant?"
Thanks for the probably unmeant compliment about deep thinking. The world could use a bit more of that in my opinion.
Hey you're a year older than me. So much for the old wive's tale that the good die young,
1.) We had our own energy
2.) We had a large excess of cheap unpopulated land
3.) We had an unlimited supply of cheap unskilled and skilled labor
This allowed us to produce things cheaper than the rest of the world. As we sold more overseas than we bought, we gained wealth. There were huge reserves of wealth.
Then we horded much of the wealth in a few big piles and our economy stopped. We spread the wealth back around and got it flowing INSIDE our country, and the working man and investors became able to survive again.
After the Great Depression things were good until we started running out of cheap energy. We also ran out of people willing to work for nearly nothing. Things started to go downhill as we poured money into Asia and the Middle East, because it was cheaper to buy things we needed from them. We allowed social rescue programs to become a way of living, instead of a way back to a productive life.
Then we decided if we let the same people that horded all the money in the 20's and 30's to not pay an equal share of taxes as the middle working class, instead allowing the very poor and the very rich to pay the same lower percentage, that the rich would throw money out into the streets to create jobs.
The jobs we created were mostly to export our jobs, and create more welfare people through social safety nets.
The ability for a working class person to put his kids through college so we had more skilled people stopped, and so did the simple labor jobs.
Then Europe, seeing what was happening, decided to close its door to us. They formed the European Community of countries with approximately equal wealth and allowed unfettered trade between them. Equal buying and selling between equal wealth partners.
Our answer to that was a partnership with Mexico, because as Bush and Clinton and the rest promised they would be our next large market. Our jobs and equipment and technology quickly shipped to them, they didn't get much richer, and we got poorer still and didn't sell much to them except things they could use to compete with us.
The result was more jobs left, and more people went on state sponsored aid paid for mostly by the middle class.
This is where we are at today. Any attempt to undo this is labeled as protectionism. All the blame is laid on increased taxes, but in reality we emptied our store rooms of energy, labor, raw materials, agriculture, and brains.
People making a few million bucks a year or career politicians will spend endlessly to convince people who lost the ability to think for themselves that the problem is we need to give them more tax cuts and allow more unequal trade. They convinced us through rumors and fairy tales we still have great wealth in energy, cheap labor, and brains.
What that does is allow more money to pass by the people who control things that are leaving and coming into our country, so they can get a bit richer. Meanwhile all the things that really made America great have been all pissed away, and anyone who wants to plug that leak is labeled un-American.
The teachers that used to teach are making money on money, and our kids are suffering. We put the brightest students in with those who don't care to learn in hopes that they all pull to the same level, and they do. Many parents don't care if their kids get a good education, they just want them gone. No one wants to be told they are less than perfect, and very few want to learn how things really work.
That is the real problem. Not taxes.
Upon reading those thought provoking gifts presented by Cheat and Tom, I experienced several 'Chris Matthews Moments' that left me breathless and weak. As a result of those tingling times, my lovely wife insists that I preserve matromonial harmony by not reading any Cheat and Tom blogs 2 hours before bedtime. I "believe" she worries about my sub-par "sleeping" performance after I spent myself reading Cheat and Tom THINKING posts.
Obama was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize to recognize his extraordinary lifetime efforts of seeking ONE WORLD PEACE . In the same vein, THG bloggers could organize a THINKERS AWARD movement to honor wordsmiths Cheat and Tom and lift Lamar County onto the world stage.
In 1902, Auguste Rodin gave the world a bronze and marble sculpture 'depicting a man in sober meditation battling with a powerful internal struggle.' With Tom being a 'believer' and Cheat having 'no beliefs', THG bloggers could create a 'one size fits all' sculpture fashioned from chicken wire and paper mache.
The mache concoction can be made by combining shredded pages from the book written by Chet Dettlinger in 1984 with pages ripped from motel salvaged Gideon Bibles. Once the mache mixture starts to set up, the Medicare Death Panel passages from the 2000 page Pelosi Bill can be turned into confetti and blown into the mixture with hot air to add rigid substance to our new 'Cheat n' Tom' THINKERS AWARD.
An annual awards banquet can be held in Rome. ROME! you think.
Yes, that cosmopolitan city in the heart of Floyd County is the cultural center of Northwest Georgia and boasts ample convention space in the gym of the old Rome Christian Academy . As a bonus, the Waffle House and blue ribbon winner Porkys BBQ can be contracted to cater the event.
I look forward to bonus comments from Cheat and Tom in reply to my humble offering. Out of respect for my wife, daytime posts only please!
