Acting on a tip from a concerned citizen, Milner police chief Jake Sutton was able to arrest an alleged burglar within minutes of his having broken into Greater Spring Hill Baptist Church at 117 Locust Street Monday.
Church burglary suspect Aldine Kimbell.

I can't help but wonder why the LCSO failed to alert citizens about the Magnum house burglars until comments were made on THIS blog about them.
Little wonder the criminals were caught...
...in another county.
Great choice Lamar, looking better every day.
For the moment. How many "chiefs" has that backwater had in the last 10 years?
Isn't that the place the framed an innocent man for shooting one of their "finest"? Locked up for six months for something he didn't do. Great bunch of folks...Not.
"You are so right Lamar County, City of Barnesville and City of Milner are looking better every day! It is a safe feeling to live in a community where Law Enforcement works together. They cannot stop all the crime but at least they are in unity once again!"
Yea! Last time this crowd "worked together", they framed an innocent man for a shooting he didn't commit.
Straight out of the 1960's Deep South playbook. Better hope they don't frame you for something!
One thing Hollywood gets exactly right is the depiction of rural law enforcement in the Deep South. The incident in Milner is ample evidence of the "Bubba" factor.
Injustice is something everyone should never forget, and the perpetrator(s) should never be allowed to forget either. I'll never understand why Milner and Waller weren't sued into poverty by that guy. Poor dude probably just wanted to get as far away as fast as possible. Can't blame him at all.
Virginia and New Jersey corrected their mistakes yesterday. Lamar will get it's chance soon enough. Maybe sooner if we are lucky.
